    Relax and Chill out!

as long as they replace it with proper drill, s'all good :D - I just hear alot of complaints on the site about people who are stuck doing things one way when they go on course...I'm getting out of that mindset in advance there's alot of information on here, I'm just trying to keep my head...

    Relax and Chill out!

That's exactly it. There is a huge difference in the way drill is done between the different cadet elements, so I would have to assume that the CF would be different again. I just want to do things the right way and do those things well. I've just got the basics; although I'm sure I'm going to...

If God wanted me to join the army....

Hehe, the guy that took over for him as the unit recruiter had a few words on the gentleman, who I like very much as a person....and none of them were overly nice, at least not as far as his recruitment for officers was concerned. There was a great guy out of Hamilton there though, who was of...

Pick the right trade at the begining!

I generally try to plan for all contingencies...tends to work out better and keep me in a more positive frame of mind. hopefully my last post doesn't sound like I'm planning to fail.....I'm really not....but I do realize that the military is not for everyone, and despite who I think I am...

Pick the right trade at the begining!

I thought I had made it clear that I would only choose a trade that I had an interest in, so I'm not sure why getting stuck in a trade I dislike is of such concern. Even if I think I like one more then another that can change, so it's not like going into one over another that I have equivalent...

    Relax and Chill out!

I'm well aware...hehe, but I'm odd, I accepted that a long, long time ago. My love of drill just makes it a strength, and having a teaching background makes it a bigger strength because for the people who dislike it or aren't so great at it right away, I get extra drill time, and they get...

    Relax and Chill out!

I love the feeling of pride when I've done a movement absolutely perfectly. I love the teamwork, the single crack of boots on cement that the squad works so hard for. I love the preciseness, the exactness of drill. It's hard to find anything else that is that precise and that requres that kind...

    Relax and Chill out!

I just can't wait to be back on the parade square...It's always been a comforting feeling to have whatever SM bellowing out commands and just..I just love drill...lol, I can't wait to learn it the proper way... Haha, I just love the lifestyle - can't wait to get everything squared around and...

If God wanted me to join the army....

i was able to exceed the female and meet the male requirements before I got sick...now that I'm on the mend I'm really working on my PTagain...I will not be a burden to my section...and that means at least meeting the male standards....I don't like the double standard and I really dont want...

Pick the right trade at the begining!

I do beleive I stated that I would be picking a trade I would be willing to stick with no matter what. Also that I would only re-muster if a) I stayed in long enough and b) if the trade I was interested in was in need at the time that a re-muster was possible... I don't beleive I ever stated I...

Pick the right trade at the begining!

that was deffinately a thought as well. Also I'm joining to work for the army/airforce/navy...I can have a preferance to a job, but if they need people working something else...why say no and turn down a chance to serve my country??

Pick the right trade at the begining!

As I said: I would be fully prepared to remain in my musterd trade. Only to consider re-muster if it was to the benefit of the forces.

If God wanted me to join the army....

I'd have been born with green, baggy skin and a will made of steel.I've got the will and luckily for me, the army provides the green and baggy part! Now that I've got your attention...my story. I started the application process in 2002 after completing a six week cadet course in Cold Lake...

Pick the right trade at the begining!

Thanks alot for your opinion... I'm thinking somewhat the same thing, but if they're not mustering that trade at all right now, I'd rather have the chance to serve then sit around and wait for that trade to open up. Maybe less of a missed opertunity and more of a strong gust fromthe winds of...

Pick the right trade at the begining!

hmm...just curious.... I personally would love to be a MedTech (reg) however I've noticed several people I know who've gone in for MedTech have been given sort of a forced re-muster before they've gotten through their actual Med training, not do to test failings, but just told that they weren't...

    Relax and Chill out!

dwalter I'm in the same position as you - having done probably too much time as a cadet and as a CI in the CIC...I'm not an overly cocky person to start with but I'm relieved to see that having cadet experience isn't a death sentence. Again,I'd just like to reiterate the last post...thanks...

What not to do - No excuse BMQ tips [Merged]

just a quick question for anyone who might know... I can put my hair up into a decent(regulation) bun in under a minute, would it be worth it to cut my hair for BMQ or should I just leave it as is? I know men have to shave everymorning, so I don't see this taking any time away from my helping...
