It's easier to use the treadmill or the stationary bike when you're at sea. It takes a bit of getting used to running in a fair to moderate sea state (not recommended in heavy weather). there are lots of folks who run on the ships....they also live for when the ship is alongside and they can dry...

All of our vessels have a SAR capability....if you're out on the water and someone is in trouble you help them. we pulled a guy off the rocks when we were in MARS 3 near active pass when I was on the Minesweepers. This vessels were built to train people.

They want us in Iltis's with blue helmets....the nostalgia is palapable.
