You could also bring used stuff, ie. a half full tube of toothpaste (just clean out the cap), soap with the name rubbed off. Your instructors might get a little suspicious when you have a bar of soap that clearly reads 'Dove' 6 weeks into the course. Yeah and soap does collect dust, I got busted...

Oh sorry, I knew about the comms courses, I meant a tasking more for Pte/Cpl level. (Probably should've mentioned that.) But thanks anyways.

LMAO!!!! That's hilarious. Sig op requires a higher score then many other trades, but it's not particularly hard to get in, if some of the individuals on my courses have been any indication.  :D

I was lucky, this close from getting to fire one. Our unit latched on to a gun camp being fun by the 48th, but they canned the 50 cal due to too many people in the training area. Got to fire the Carl G though  :P

AFAIK, all messes are non-smoking, have been for about a year now. Before that, we had an agreed-upon smoking section (near the open windows.)

Of course there's nothing illegal about it, so long as you do not post anything that may give anyone on your course, or the CF, a bad name. "ex. My instructor, MCpl so-and-so, is a complete moron..." Other then that you're in the clear. Enjoy the rest of your course!  :)

Just a question, Is it possible to get a tasking with another Brigade/ unit? Because we in the Comm Reserve world are only provided with options in either CFSCE or the COmm Res school in Shilo. Not so much for this year, but out of general curiousity how would one go about getting a tasking...

As for cleaning supples, I swear by Swiffer, and Mr Clean Magic Eraser is a miracle worker when it comes to scuff marks on the floors. Good luck.  ;)

Are you sure about that? I highly doubt being a staff cadet and being a member of the reserves is the same thing. Are they a sworn member of the CF? In a reserve unit? Didn't think so. From what I understand, staff cadets are only issued a SN for administrative purposes, ie. for pay.

Also, if you find you're having difficulties, you will be shown how to make a hootch on your field ex on BMQ anyway.
