    Canadian Army music video

I'll echo everyone's praise here by saying awesome video. You should send that to the CFRC...THAT is what those recruiting ads in the movies should look like!

    Question on Rank and Pay

That shouldn't be. Whenever I've had a pay problem, I've gone to the unit OR and it was usually a minor thing, and the pay came in the next pay period. Anything major, and my chain of command has bugged the OR until they've fixed it. No biggie. Although problems sometimes do occur, they are...

    Question: Time spent on training

As of now, reserve BMQ is still 4 weeks, while SQ is another 4 weeks long. You can take both of these in the same summer. During the year you would be expected to parade with your unit 1 night a week and a couple of weekends a month, to go on exercises and such. You'd most likely do your trades...

    Teamwork-is it forced????

All good posts IMHO. To add my own 2 cents, I always view teamwork as a "give and take" concept. I might understand certain course material better then buddy, and will help him study to pass his test. In turn, he'll help me if I need it, maybe help me improve on my PT or something. One hand...

    How did Militia training evolve?

Not true for the Comm Res, our BMQ/SQ, although it is done separately from the Army Reserve, (in Shilo) is total 8 weeks long. This is similar to the length of the same Army Reserve courses, AFAIK. The sig op QL3 course is also significantly shorter then the Reg force course, 9 weeks compared to...

    Something strange going on here.....

No you can't! I'm a female and have never once done pushups from my knees with the military...I don't know where everyone got that idea from. Just thought I'd clear that up once and for all.
