AFAIK it's if you miss 3 consecutive parade nights you're NES. (As in 3 consecutive monday nights, or whatever night your unit parades.)
However, keep in mind you're signing up for 1 night a week, and 1 weekend a month. If you can't make that, then reconsider joining.

Interesting. I suppose you're right, it's another one of those "trg" vs. "real-life" things, I guess. What you're told in training doesn't usually happen on operations.

I was just looking through some of those pictures, and my mouth dropped open. That place is WAY too green to be Shilo.
Also, WRT to the hills in the trg area, I remember someone explaining that it used to be an artillery range back in the day.
I think it's just cause you're from an Ottawa unit, and you guys are bilingual and all that jazz. Everyone else outside of Quebec usually seems to have the English slip-ons.
Tell me about it, when I heard it snowed last summer we were all shocked. The summer before was HOT, got up to 50 degrees some days. And it rained like 3 times the entire summer. Freakish Manitoba weather...
