    Cadet FA/ Medical stuff..........

You raise a valid point. The Cadet Program is getting an update, which will begin in Sep 2008.  The summer course program, on the Army side, is getting a major over-haul.  An idea like this could, and probably would be looked at. The current idea, IMHO, is seriously worth looking at.  Maybe...

    Cadet FA/ Medical stuff..........

I have been watching this with interest. What about changing the age mind set to 16-17-18?  This would make it an Advanced Course, at the same level as exchanges and para.  Believe it or not, there are cadets who are more focused on post-secondary education than visiting the world.  Adding...

    Iltis For Sale Anyone !!!

Since you're in the Ottawa area, there is a guy that sells them not too far. He's on the 138, between Bonville and St Andrew's.  About 1 hour from St. Laurent Shopping Centre.  I am not sure of the price.  Prefair, just outside Montreal also sells them.

Unauthorized Uniform parts Picture hunt. "For fun and giggles"

Just to make sure that I fully understand, while wearing patrol blues, all officers and CWOs, regardless of trade/unit, wear the sash for ceremonial affairs?  I was under the impression that this privilege of rank was reserved for the infantry??  In the CF greens, according to my copy of the CF...

Unauthorized Uniform parts Picture hunt. "For fun and giggles"

Great picture, but I have some questions: 1.  Isn't the waist sash to be worn by officers and CWO?  Not RSM (appointment) but worn by CWO(rank)? 2.  Isn't the waist sash only worn when the wearing of a sword is not appropriate?  I thought that it was only the PPCLI who wore both. 3.  Don't...

You are best to speak with your CO and Trg O.  Things like this are best handled on a case by case basis.

    Cadets in Maroon Berets??

Clipped wings were around for quite some time, and occassionally they seem to pop their ugly heads out again. In many cases, they stood for X number of jumps from the mock tower.  The wings were as much symbolism as they were merit.  They symbolized that the cadet unit was participating in...

    Cadets in Maroon Berets??

::) Cadets, for as long as I can tell, have been wearing the official headdress of the cadet's corps' affiliated unit.  Green beret, black beret, red beret, maroon beret.  Air Force blue beret.  Haven't seen a fawn beret on a cadet yet, but I somehow doubt that will permittedly happen. The...

    Volunteers

Before volunteering, members of the RegF and Res should ask permission from his/her CO and the permission of the Cadet Unit CO.  Once that is accomplished, then yes, you wear the dress of the day.  In most cases it would be strongly encouraged.  You would not be a civilian instructor, but a...

    What camps should there be?

Wilderness Leadership loosely became Cadet Leader Instructor Patrolling, which is now loosely CLI Adventure. The last Wilderness Leadership Course was in the early 90's.  I know there was a course in 1992.  Can't remember 1993.

    Wanted: Pace Stick

??? I don't consider $125 expensive.  That is what I paid 4 years ago, for a Cadet Corps.  I think it is a bargain at that price.  I have seen other sticks, made from better woods, better fittings and better craftmanship for double and triple the price. I could probably make a stick for...

    Wanted: Pace Stick

For those cadets out there or if you are looking for a cheap pace stick, you can purchase them from the Army Cadet League.  Last time I was in the office, they had black, cherry and blonde.  The style is what I believe they call "racing sticks".  I am not 100% backing the quality, but the look...

    MLE and Expedition Dress

:deadhorse: Wow! Are Cadets issued CADPAT?  On a regular basis, NO.  There has been exceptions.  There is proof  that it has indeed been done.  Will it be done again in the futute?  I dunno. Is there a requirement for Cadets to wear CADPAT?   There is a requirement, on occassion, for cadets...
