    CIC And PRes

A CIC officer is a reserve officer so the answer is no. You can be a PRes officer and volunteer with a cadet unit.  You can be a CIC officer and be attached/seconded to a PRes unit.  PRes officers can be employed at a Cadet Summer Training Centre.

Cdn Cadet OD Slip-on Art work.

I am not 100% positive, maybe someone can confirm............. In the army, there are different shoulder titles and combat titles. Example, 3 Field Engineer Squadron wears ENGINEERS in DEU (brass and slip on) but wears 3 FD SQN in combats.  The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa wear CAMERONS in...

In all fairness to Chris, he was an excellent and well rounded cadet.  He was well liked and respected by his superiors, peers and subordinates.  He never caught premadonnacitis upon completion of the para course. If I am not seen, it means I'm not in trouble Ron :salute:

Unauthorized Uniform parts Picture hunt. "For fun and giggles"

Up until about Sep 1993, many things were very different. The Hugh Heffner thing is an ascot, worn by many units in the old, old work/garrison dress (Reg and PRes) which carried into cadets. As for the badges, you will notice where I am wearing the Marksmanship badge.  There were only 3...

Well, according to the Air Cadet CATOs, the WO2 should be wearing a orange reflective vest as he is wearing camo. The rest is just halloween trimmings.

Given that you have so much naval support around you, Wolfie does have a good idea.  Why not start a Sea Cadet Corps?

I know both of their names.  No fun. The GGHG cadet has his Veteran Pin in the wrong spot.

Changes, needed fixes in Cadets (merged)

Well I have virtually read the entire thread.  I have attempted to absorb most of it and reflect.  I took those points and attempted to verify and/or dismiss them.  Here is what I would change: 1.  Communication:  Orders are passed on without using basic Task Procedure.  The 5 w's are not...

Air Cadets - Pace sticks and rifles????

Changes, needed fixes in Cadets (merged)

You hit the nail on the head.  These are two of the reasons the switch to air rifles was made.  A range can be made in a Legion Hall, school gym, back yard.  Air Rifles can be easily stored at the LHQ.  Many younger cadets (12-13) also complained about the weight of the Lee-Enfield.  They also...

Searching For Regulations re: Corporate Sponsorship of Cadet Corps

I will try to find an answer for you.  This would have to be discussed with the League..........to get a value for the donation.  If the space had been leased out before, this is easy.  If not, an amount may have to be agreed upon.  I will try to get a more definate answer for you.

Searching For Regulations re: Corporate Sponsorship of Cadet Corps

No problem Ron. At the same time now, at least for the army side of the Leagues, larger cheques can be made out to "Army Cadet League of Canada".  In the memo section of the cheque, you can specify for what corps (ie. for XXXX RCACC).  The money will be sent to the cadet corps and a receipt...

Searching For Regulations re: Corporate Sponsorship of Cadet Corps

The Army Cadet League can help you.  They issue "charity" receipts. Contact your local League Rep.  If you do not have one, contact your provincial League.  If you still cannot get an answer, contact the Army Cadet League of Canada in Ottawa (www.armycadetleague.ca).  The National Office will...
