Processing duration for a Chinese-Canadian applicant

Best bet is to call the RC and follow up with them, they are the only ones that can give you a time frame (if any).

Col Geoff Parker killed in VBIED attack Kabul, 18 May 10

I am currently in Oakville right now and today as I was driving into work, I noticed quite a few flags at half-mast (as they should be) which is a sad reminder.  RIP. :yellow:

    Deployed soldier fights phone bill

From a glass-half full perspective:  if this is the worst thing that happens to him on tour, he's lucky.

    Vibram FiveFingers

Very interesting, I've never heard of these shoes until now.  I'm gonna go down to one of the stores that carry them this weekend to try on a pair, all of you have definitely sparked my interest.  :)

    The Green Zone (movie)

I just watched this movie on Sunday night at the drive-in, and unfortunately, was not too impressed.  I really enjoyed the Bourne series but I thought this movie did not compare.  I ended up falling asleep towards the end, but possibly because I was tired coming into the drive-in and Green...

Cell phone family plans across canada

I was with Fido for 4 years and had nothing but the best customer service from them, even when they made a mistake with my bills they would give my account a credit just for my troubles of calling in to correct it, and if I remember correctly they used to send "Fido buck" for everything (I even...

    Paid parking DND property

Agreed, but isn't the purpose of both EI and school taxes supposedly for the benefit all members of society?  School taxes especially.  Charging for parking and those such taxes seem like apples and oranges.

High school students flunk O Canada

That's very sad.  When I was in elementary school we HAD to sing every morning when they played the anthem before the announcements.  I remember one particular teacher one year who, if she saw that you were not singing, would make you sing by yourself in front of the rest of the class after...

What book are you reading now?

I tried reading Clancy because my father used to like him so, but Red October was the only one I ever did get through in its entirety. And by recommendation from another thread on this site, I am almost finished "FOB Doc" by Capt. Ray Wiss.  Not a bad read at all.. On deck is "Choke" by Chuck...

    Applying to the Forces

No problem.  Just remember good things come to those who wait; spend the next year getting in the best physical shape possible and make yourself that much better of a candidate all around.  If you really want it, it will be worth it.

Previous drug use question 2002 - 2018 [Merged]

To find out if *your* drug history may affect your enrollment, the best thing to do is to apply and when they hand you the drug sheet to be honest about your use and let the officer reviewing your file to tell you if *your* history qualifies for a waiting period or not.
