    Medical Disqualifications

Thanks for the reply! I'm kind of nervous since the medical section said I would just have to wait to hear back from the Medical Office in Ottawa. Really nervous. Also I heard that ANYTHING heart related is an automatic disqualification no matter how minor. Is this true?

    Reserve Co-op enrollment 2014-2017

Thank you for the response, it was really helpful! I'm just going to continue on with my application as normal since I find all the things about co-op way too confusing which I don't feel safe with. Thanks again!

    Reserve Co-op enrollment 2014-2017

Hello everyone, I submitted my application for the the Primary Reserves and it's almost gone through, and I'm kind of feeling anxious as if I I should have went co-op. My recruiters seemed to like I was joining normally and I was also misleaded in my decision (someone told me that co-op...

You forgot the part where you change your name to Chad and wear 4 different layers of pants/undergarments.

    Questions about joining the Reserves

I'm not sure if I completely understood your post, but from what I interpreted as, you shouldn't apply for a specific trade just to get into a certain regiment. You SHOULD have your heart set on the trade(s) you want however, and you have to remember that the reserves is a part time job. It is...

    Reserve BMQ Full-Time or Part-Time?

    Sounds like a good idea

    Walts, posers & wannabes (merged)

I don't know, something about his wording just makes me feel that he's some kid that maybe thought about joining the cadets at one point and is now BS'ing himself all over the internet. The fact that he's also deploying on a combat operation under the age of 18 is absolute baloney as well, on...

    Walts, posers & wannabes (merged)

Oh sorry, my format is kind of messed up since I'm typing on a weird resolution phone. I never claimed to be 16 in the infantry, that was the commenter from YouTube I was talking about, I'm going to see if I can clean up my post a bit once I get my hands on a computer.

    Walts, posers & wannabes (merged)

I saw this gem when I was browsing the comment section of a YouTube video. I can't figure out how to quote outside source so I'm just going to copy/paste it. Here it goes: Canadas light infantry did this, against America too special forces. Our LIGHT infantry. I'm 16 and I'm in the royal...

Officer occupations – Which one should I choose?

That is, again, something you should ask your recruiter.

    Reserve BMQ Full-Time or Part-Time?

I mean maybe, I don't know much about Go bus lines, but I don't recommend going to an armoury Google maps says is around 1 hr 15 mins constantly or like 10 miles, because it's gonna be hell, but I am pretty lazy, so you might be able to pull it off.

Canadian Armed Forces in video games (or the lack thereof)

There is a couple of JTF2 operators in Rainbow Six siege, that game was awesome and it was fairly mainstream as well

    Reserve BMQ Full-Time or Part-Time?

Hey, same armoury as me! But yeah it does suck, I do not recommend coming to Toronto to parade if you are in the reserves, the traffic here is horrible at rush hour  lines and if you don't have a car the TTC is worse (especially on crowded lines)

    Reserve BMQ Full-Time or Part-Time?

I was told that co-op students would train at their local armoury every day while completing BMQ and trade training at the same time, or at least that's what I was told at my recruiting session.

Switching from RMC to civilian university

What's wrong with "minimally qualified" teachers/professors? I've had my share of teachers that I did NOT get along with and somehow wondered how they were teachers, but then I realized that they went through years of school and training specifically to teach, and chances are they are good at...

Cellular Phone Discounts for Military Families

Anyone here tried public mobile? I don't think you can get a CF discount, but you don't really need one with their prices, plus they use Bell's network. I heard their customer service sucks though since they don't actually have any stores, and everything is done online or over the phone.
