    tankless watwer heater

Are you talking about the in-line heater? I have a buddy here in Calgary that has one, and from his experiences.... well, I would go with a tanked heater. He so far has had it break down twice in 6 months, and while it was out getting fixed, he had to have ice cold showers and no hot water other...

    Training Music

I usually have two playlists on my PDA (which doubles as my MP3 player) I have a "Cardio set" which is energetic but steady beat trance and techno, stuff like Darude or Rank 1 or such. Basically, while I don't really need it, it helps with getting into a rhythm. I also have a "Power set" which...

What have I dug myself into? Armored officer :D

I guess I kinda made a confusing post. The guy I talked to switched out of armor January 05 into infantry, so I am *assuming* that his information is pretty up to snuff  :-X He seemed squared away, to really know his stuff, so I do think that he was on the level. Still, I also have chatted with...

What have I dug myself into? Armored officer :D

Well, after a good LONG (like 2.5 hours) sit and talk with a former Armor Crewman at CFRC Calgary (he transferred to infantry), I have had my application.... CHANGED!  :o I am no longer looking at going officer. I want field experience, I love the outdoors, I love vehicles, and I don't mind the...

Irritations of this Season of Peace

Something that really nibbles at my gonads is how they are taking the christmas spirit out of schools these days due to political correctness... I remember being in grade 4 and being part of the choir and we sang alllllll the carols, including the uberchristian ones, because even then we knew...

How to lose weight in a healthy way (merged)

As far as I understand (from watching the BMQ vid and reading up on it) there is a swim portion of BMQ where you need to be able to do three "survival tasks" or you go to remedial training... ie jump into a pool, tread water for 2 minutes, then swim 50 m, etc. So I am getting my body used to...

How to lose weight in a healthy way (merged)

I just know that I want in to the best career in Canada  :salute: :warstory: I also get 5-10 hours of sleep, depending on my schedule, and I eat 5 times a day. Basically, my motivation is that I don't want to be on the receiving end of a "Private Bloggins, why are you so out of shape?!?!"...

How to lose weight in a healthy way (merged)

I drink, on average, 4-6 liters per day, and on some days up to 8 liters. And it's water straight from the taps (because I have my own water bottle that I keep refilling) so it has all the goodies in it :D

How to lose weight in a healthy way (merged)

Well, seeing as specifics is what this thread needs, I will post my exercise routine, and you can all pick it apart :P My goal is to raise my upper body strength (I can still only do 1-2 unassisted chin ups) and lose the flab on my body (reduce my body fat percentage). I should also note that...

How to lose weight in a healthy way (merged)

Referring to body types: Back when I was 18, I was pretty much a straight line up and down if you looked at me side on. I had ripped abs (always have) and strong lats, and my shoulders are extremely well defined. I slipped a disc very slightly at a Tae Kwon Do tournament tho, and that precluded...
