Yep definitely stay off it for the time you have...I'm BMQ/SQ/ATCIS qualified and I know of a few MIR commandoes who pissed the hell out of our platoon...Better rest up and fall out trying then gettin written off of PT for an injury that could have been prevented...Take er easy...M sittin on a...

Seamus, I know for my BMQ right up until the end we had the old webbing... Think of the tac vest as a present when your an actual "troop."  You wont have any other use for it because you wont have a rifle, mag, bayonet, not even a BFA...So there really is no reason for you to have that...

Honestly, if you can do PT, I don't care what size anyone is... But I read of a guy who couldn't do a pushup because his arms couldn't reach the ground because of his belly...So I hope no one here is that bad...

Well from what I've heard in the MO, to TEACH a BMQ or Recruit School course you need to have your MOD 6 on PLQ which is 6 weeks of hell in Wainwright...Basically concentrating ok leading sections and hard physical labour (Patrolling, trenches, PT, etc...) Thats the course that can get you...
