Lt. Turner, Cpl. Dinning, Bdr. Mansell, and Cpl. Payne Killed- April/ 21/ 2006

I let you know what kind of a man BDR Mansell was. He taught on my Basic. I'll never forget him as my 2IC throwing boots across the room, flipping my bed when it was perfect, and handing out a laugh on the FTX's. He was not only a soldier.  He was more of a brother.  A part of the family that...

Please post if you have received an offer from RMC.

Heard from my Father (Cpt(N)) that they are sitting down on the 24thAPR and says those applying from BC will hear within the first week of May if this helps at all.

    Great recruiting video

If you type "Artillery" in the Search Box on video.google.com I'm still sure my video comes up.  It's still work in progress...We're waiting for the footage to come down from the other BTY that was on the Caustic Shock exercise as well as shooting more shots on our next ex to FT. Lewis. ...

Yep definitely stay off it for the time you have...I'm BMQ/SQ/ATCIS qualified and I know of a few MIR commandoes who pissed the hell out of our platoon...Better rest up and fall out trying then gettin written off of PT for an injury that could have been prevented...Take er easy...M sittin on a...

    Stupid Newbie Question...

Seamus, I know for my BMQ right up until the end we had the old webbing... Think of the tac vest as a present when your an actual "troop."  You wont have any other use for it because you wont have a rifle, mag, bayonet, not even a BFA...So there really is no reason for you to have that...

    Heavier....applicants.

Honestly, if you can do PT, I don't care what size anyone is... But I read of a guy who couldn't do a pushup because his arms couldn't reach the ground because of his belly...So I hope no one here is that bad...

    RE-joining the Army...

Well from what I've heard in the MO, to TEACH a BMQ or Recruit School course you need to have your MOD 6 on PLQ which is 6 weeks of hell in Wainwright...Basically concentrating ok leading sections and hard physical labour (Patrolling, trenches, PT, etc...) Thats the course that can get you...

    Cougar Salvo 2006, 11-18 March

Well I know for myself I was TOLD I was going to be enemy force...Figured with SQ under my belt, my DP1 (Gunners course) wouldn't be needed for this particular exercise but, this being the army, I got thrown into gate guard sentry and roaming patrols up in Tranquille. Although it wasn't as bad...

Why does everyone suggest I avoid being a NCM?

I'm sitting in the same situation...Not the University part but in a way, I have a grandfather who spend 16 years in 2RCHA in Shilo, spent 6 Years in the Airborne, Taught SF Training in the Arctic for 32 months, as an NCM, and now, at 78, lives in a trailer part with barely any money... He's...

    The Military Police [MP] Superthread

Alright well I have a few more months and 3 courses under my belt.  Jesus, looking at the way I posted that was pretty stereotypical of me.  I haven't really had to deal with the MP's in my unit too much.  I've seen em around, but we're always on good terms...Most are good buddies of the more...
