Can anyone enlighten me on the deal with Veterans plates? All i know is that you can get them for free if you get a form signed by the legion. Do proceeds go to Veterans Affairs, or come from them? I see everyone and their dog has them here on base, actually I think i've seen everyone but a vet...

I would advise getting out of the shacks ASAP if you come to Petawawa. Well atleast in the 1RCR shacks... Monthly inspections, nothing allowed in the common area (and i mean nothing) The rent just went up again, and to be linked it's well over 300 bucks a month which is a total rip.

I don't know if they still wear Brit DPU in Gagetown, but our guys in 1 never wear it, although they may occasionally switch up cam while on deployment. Never heard of them doing it lately though.

Hehe mornings...I worked midnights and afternoon shifts for 3 years before I joined and was certainly no morning person. Believe me you will get used to it, because there is nothiing but absolute truth in saying that the early mornings never end. :crybaby:
