In addition to Infantryman's question, can I reject food if it does not comply with my religous beliefs? The food only being beef. And I prefer not to eat pork aswell.

Just for clarification "the letter" Mr. Wallace is referring to, is known as a statement of understanding or "SOU". when visiting the Unit ask for an SOU, the recruiter will then give you a piece of paper outlining the different aspects of the job your applying for and how training works. Also...

They probably just sent you the wrong number, it's the actual unit which tells you if their hiring or not. The CFRC or ottawa generally just handles the recruiting process, not the actual recruiting.

Also look inside yourself if you can really want a career in the CAF, along the recruitment process people (including your family) might say negative things. Tell you it's a waste of time, your not meant for the Military, the Army would love to send you out to the "front lines", or flat out...

I agree for the most part it is good spirited "joshing", but civilians should not see certain high ranking NCO's being called the thing they are in this site. The civilians who view this site will not see the the soldier as an individual, but a reflection of the entire CAF. And were just going...

Exactly my point the website is too similar to "thedirty" or "ratemyprof", except the image of the soldiers shown on the website can become the image people see of the entire Military. While on the dirty those people are seen as individuals, and even then the website is frequently connected to...

Maybe nightmare was excessive, but some of the Canadian soldiers on the site are being portrayed pretty badly.

And definitely beginning of a publicity nightmare for the CAF.
