at the parade i was at, and i was not part of the formed group, and i saluted both times for the general salute at both the entrance and exit of the reviewing officer.  with my eyes darting left to right, i couldn't tell if anyone else did.  should i have saluted?

and for 3+ years i've been trying to get over to the "reddest" trade, aes op, but my own trade, by comparison, is only slightly red and i can't pay someone to let me come over.

and then there's my ship, where the sonar ops run from 0750 to 1250, 1250 to 1750, 1750 to 0050, and 0050 to 0750... all in an effort to maximize cleaning station times of course, which is what we'd rather do than sleep :P
