Should inform my CoC that I may VR.

One of my staff has just informed me of his intentions, and it certainly isn't going to hamper his intentions any...nor my opinion when it comes time to recommend him for courses or his PER.

Requirements for Unsatisfactory Release Item 2

Yeah, with mass-enrolments as well, you see a lot of bad-a**es get in the door, but get marched back out it just as quickly.  However, in all honesty, I have only ever seen 5 2B releases myself, 5F seems to be the popular catch all.

    Promotions in the CAF [Merged]

TimBit...you are on the money there. Uncontrolled ranks are generally left as is.  The only case is when the member doesn't meet the time prerequisites for that rank (ie.  ResF Cpl after 2 years CT's, they are reverted to Pte on CT). Cheers!

    Alcoholism

I'm kind of surprised to not see anything here about the new DAOD on Misuse of Alcohol.  Any thoughts?

Let me help that leg work along.  Ref QR&O 15, table.  Item 5F and I quote "Unsuitable for Further Service - Applies to the release of an officer or non-commissioned member who, either wholly or chiefly because of factors within his control, develops personal weakness or behaviour or has...

5F?  Something not right there.  5F is Unsuitable for further service, certainly not something you would use for disbility, that would have to be a 3B. Random.

    Problems and Bugs

YAY, only 76 CE until my next promotion, and with my CR Regen at 11:22, I should get to the next rank (and my next 5 Merit Points) in about two weeks...fml.  :-[

Just a question, when was the last time anyone saw a 3A release?  I've been clerking for almost 10 years now and still have yet to see one....and that was having worked in a release section...

    5D Release

I know the name has changed many a time...however, I am under the understanding that BMOQ Mod 1 = IAP and BMOQ Mod 2 = BOTC.  I would also tend to think that if that is the correct statement, that you would have already passed "IAP".  So if ALL of that is correct, then no.  You would be...

    Problems and Bugs

Hey all, I linked my FB account to my Army.ca one, at least that's what it says in my stats.  Can't seem to get it working right, and my CR regen time is enough to kill ya...putt putt putt...either way, I have one amount of MilPoints here, and a different amount totally on my Afghan Ops... HELP!!!

    Accoutrement Confusion

No, I follow you on that one!  And some occupations, that is the way.  You won't get your cap badge until you get the qual, I just know from personal experience that many don't do it that way, they follow the dress regs.  I suppose it's to each their own really. Cheers!

Who is an Officer Commanding a Command (OCC)?

Actually I stand entirely corrected.  Meanwhile the environmental component to the CDS's position will remain unchanged, I have asked a rather official source as I consider said person, and he gave me the proverbial "slap upside the head".  What I was misguidedly speaking of was an old QR&O...
