Who is an Officer Commanding a Command (OCC)?

Hi again, I have to apologize, I can't agree, and neither can Chief Review Services apparently.  The CF is in a command structure flux.  The "L2's" (CMS, CLS, CAS) are totally 100% environmental, obviously, wouldn't have an Air Force LGen as CMS, and the "L1's" are appointed as they always have...

COT from NWT to AVN, pay and rank question

I am quoting on this old forum just for hope of preventing the mis-information of others in this case.  I saw this post and kind of scratched my head.  Just reinforces what I always say, RMS Clerks don't try to be PSO's so perhaps in the same respect, PSO's should stop trying to be RMS Clerks...

Who is an Officer Commanding a Command (OCC)?

Good Pickup!  However, remember, the CF unlike the American Military is controlled by an environmental commander.  If we had an Admiral as CDS instead, then that Admiral would "exercise command over MARCOM".  It's environmentally determined.

Reserve to Regforce Time in Calculations help

Aight (in my gangster voice...lol) For all those wondering how the wonderpups in Ottawa sort this out, here it is; Class B and C: 1=1 Class A: 1=0.25 Now for fairness, many wonder "how do they know how many days Class A I worked?"  They don't. They use a julian calendar to sort this out...of...

Spec pay when doing an OT

    Muddy water. Cpl + QL3 = A/L Cpl Cpl + QL5A = Cpl with QL5A Cpl + PLQ or JLC (QL5B) = Lucky Cpl with QL5A MCpl + QL5A = A/L MCpl MCpl + PLQ or JLC (QL5B) = MCpl with QL5B Gotta remember, the terms QL5A and QL5B are payroll references.  Cpl with QL5 A or B is a Cpl with QL5. Cheers!

    Occupational Transfer Interviews

To go back to the original question of this thread, in terms of a PSO interview, there should be no requirement for an assisting officer.  It's exactly that, an interview.  The PSO is there to see you, not you and another person.  So if the PSO refuses to allow an "assisting officer" into the...

    Accoutrement Confusion

Just to clarify on this...during my days playing the ULO Clerk game...here's the way it runs...if you read the messages when a person remusters to a new occupation it states RMS CLK EFFECTIVE DD MMM YY.  On that date, the former occupation accoutrements are to be replaced with the new...

Rcvd OT msg to ATIS but still Army?

Oooooooo....this one is easy. Go see your Chief Clerk, seriously, it's just a mistake.  When the OT messages are cut (usually around 100ish at a time...) they are cut, paste and release...cut, paste and release... Good odds, the message right before yours was an Air Force member transferring...

Home Equity Assistance & "Military Families Pushed to Financial Ruin" (Merge)

Seeing all this chat on the HEA has made me wonder, how many people have been hit by the charming Interest Rate Differential policy?  I know for myself, when I was posted out of Halifax and couldn't purchase in the new location (because housing costs were out of this world) I was subject to pay...

    Ordered to burn accumulated leave.

Good call, again from the ULO end of things, here is the way it works; 1) Military Schools - Students are directed on courses, and generally on the posting message it will state "Members are to report to this unit with ___ days of leave remaining in the current fiscal year."  Now, as it goes...

Surprise! Another example of pay being mis-handled.

I have removed my "rant", because it is a fact, no, no one is a moron, but far too often people are hitting the clerks on this one, it's never the members responsibility, and it's grown to be a tiring issue. I sincerely rescind my conversation and shall return to my desk to and continue to be...

G'Day All, Just want to throw some light on the policies for you all just so everyone is on the same page.  Special Leave when applied to students tends to get itself mixed up, leading to a whole ton of confusion at the other end.  Being a ULO Administrator, i've had plenty of time to beat my...
