Sounds like the old mess fund on the ships.
Speak with your supervisor and get their assistance with writing a memo asking for a reference to this mandatory fund.
It could work but I agree that it probably won't. CAF pers are very gunshy when it comes to expressing opinions to senior people as the repercussions can be very swift and severe.
Perhaps its time to look at the organization and it's usefulness. I did attend a branch for a short time but after seeing that I was one of the few that had served I didn't think it was a place I wanted to be associated with.
I agree. Either everyone should get PLD in the area or none.
I do also agree that the PLD should be more flexible to changing economies. Several years to review a system that is supposed to reflect the cost of living in areas is too long.
The JPSU staff are just like every other federal employees, overworked and understaffed. My personal experience has always been good when I have dealt with JPSU. Be it for myself or my subordinates.
Just like all organizations there are good and not so good employees.
There does need to be more...
I heard a "rumour" that the ILP was being phased out and the ILQ and SLC would be the only two leadership courses required for NCM`s. Anyone here this or have some reliable information like a DAOD or CANFORGEN?
I have tried the search function and couldn't find anything
IC is the only recognized form.
Verbal and written warnings are now IC's.
So you want to be sure the situation really warrants an IC.
Most times extra "training" and PER's can settle things out.
Unless the PM directs TB to make changes, none will be made. Regardless of how many grievances are filed even if the CDS agrees with all of them. The only route for people affected by this is to take it to court. Which 99.99% of us do not have the resources to do.
I feel for everyone that has...
Just received an email from the PIL team letting me know that my file has been corrected and is entered in the PIL system.
I thanked them and let them know I would be patiently waiting now that I know it is being in the queue for processing.
If you do end up getting a release. Who says you still can't be a paramedic? I have seen some paramedics that can hardly get out of the bus when they arrive on scene.. You just do not meet the CAF's universality of service. Many people with injuries they suffered while serving have been released...
Yes they could have sent them bi-weekly as they came in. If a MBR elected on the first day it should have been submitted in short order after that. Not three months later.
I lived in NS for 20+ years. When I was posted to Ontario the difference between taxes and everything else was tremendously lower. I lost sea pay (highest level) and PLD and my wife was still able to take a year off of work and still live comfortably.
I don't think PLD in Halifax is high enough...
I'm not sure, but there will be.
I was thinking of submitting one. I would really like to receive my 30 yearpension vice 27. And during those three years of retention I would like to have a full time job outside of the CF that I get paid to do and still receive my CF pay. >:D
What's good for one...
I sent the PIL team an email asking them about my file. I received an email the same day. Very nice person however she stated that they had yet to receive my file??? It was submitted in Feb. I had all the receipts for my package being mailed and the OR receiving it. So off to my OR to see what's...
Thanks for all the suggestions. I try the official avenues first. I'd rather not buy them due to past experience. This isn't a first for me. I had 25 years in when I was officially awarded my CD1. I was wearing the rosette on my Salt & Peppers but was directed to remove it as I hadn't yet been...
I have been trying to get my 2 rotation bars for my SWASM medal since 2008. Does anyone know of a POC at Honour and Awards that I may be able to get in touch with to try and sort this out? I am releasing soon and would like to get these prior to that.
My OR has submitted the paperwork seven...
