I am also wondering whether a recruit is to attend parade nights with their unit during part-time BMQ. Or is part-time BMQ done on alternate weekends AND one night a week, so that you don't have the chance to attend parade nights?

So it's considered tradition to have this tattoo on your right hand for combat engineers? That's pretty cool. But I thought detonations are only taught in Reg Force units now? Is there any demolition covered at all in Reserve units?

I see. You can always double-check with your recruiter to make sure. It helps to check in once in a while to remind them of your existence. Fort York Armoury is good, very close to home. I'm thinking some of it will be in Meaford. But I don't have info at this point. Good luck.

I'd like to offer a few words for consideration on the family and other important topics, being in the application process for a long time and having had many tough conversations with family about joining the military. I think "getting your family on board" is not the best way to think about...

Thanks, I didn't know about that. Does this happen every year? I was under the impression the Friday parade runs year-round, maybe minus the Christmas holidays.

Few questions on PRes part-time BMQ for units in GTA. Is it the same overall duration as PRes full-time BMQ? Also in Meaford? Do we get shipped out each Friday night from the unit and brought back on Sunday night? Just wondering how it works in general, if anyone recently went on one. Thanks.
