That's something I'd like to know as well, to help with planning. I understand that update interviews and medicals will be required every time they expire. But does an applicant get any hint as to his likely chances of a future job offer if wasn't selected say several times in a row?

Thank you. Is this a common occurrence for pilot applicants (or officer applicants in general, for that matter)? Is the merit list normally much larger than the number of selected applicants? Or does the recruiting group try to tailor the size of the list to the volume of open positions? Thanks.

That's correct. It still helps to know the contact info of your file manager at your CFRC for some specific questions.
