We don't want people who are "unable" to get promotted, nor bitter medics... And by the way in the past 3 years I have about 10 months in field and a rapid deployment so the comment about the field is slightly erroneous... rapid advancement... maybe...lol
Hey all;
This is just a call out to the med techs who want a different challenge, why not PMed. We have a lack of people however, I find that there are less people applying in the past couple of years. I was just wondering why that was...
I was 28 for a few months in 1996. Did my Basic and QL3, then EX TRILLIUM PHOENIX. I was accepted for college in Kingston so transfered to PWOR then into the regs....
For leichmaniasis... listen to what the PMeds tell you. IE Treat your combats, and use the cream... although I heard it turns to nice mud during the sand storms...lol. As for anthrax...stay away from the animals!!!!
Normally each Jump Coy will have a medic that jumps with them, and also there will be an amb on the DZ.
By the way, not to be picky, the abbreviation is CF (Canadian Forces), not CDF (which implies Canadian Defence Force).

I hate to ruin the thread, but apparently (from what I have heard), the bisons don't leave the camps! In addition, the air sentry is also no more, more risk than good. Keep in mind that this is third party news we received during roto 4 training to date. All I know is apparently my position...

An old Sgt...
It's anti-war in a medical point of view. You take a civvie Dr. and put him in an operational setting. Most won't care for the military hierarchy, but the ways that militaries mutilate the body and minds of the enemy and how this affects the docs is how the movie is anti-war.
For the questions regarding anything on your med docs, speak to an MO (Medical Officer) that you trust. You may also want to speak to your local PMed Tech in regards to any messages that might have been circulated regarding the health threat assessment.
BTW, as an asside. We in the medical...
Being an anglo, posted in Quebec is twice as fun. When first posted here, I went to my appartment to sign my lease during my lunch hour (therefore in combats). An older ladie spat on me and told me to get out of her country. I just smiled and said have a nice day. I had no clue what to do... 3...
Gotta love the "new Army".... in my opinion you first go to the mess, then the legion or veterans group of your choice... then go out on the town and be proud!!!!!
