When I was over there I loved getting a couple of good books/magazines.  My mother even sent me a post card of my home town, it actually brightened my day.  The trick is, anything that someone could use to get their mind away from the everyday life of being there and away from friends and family.

Just one question... what course do you need it for|??? If it is the manual I am thinking of it is greatly out of date... ie talking about the FEBA and such... unfortunately we are slightly lacking an updated med doctrine, as an officer put it "It's a work in progress"  Lucky for me, no more...

As a sidebar, in the recent change of command for 5ie Amb C in Valcartier, we wore bayonets but did not fix them, and the officers carried swords, but did not draw them.... And to think of it...after seeing some of the drill I am glad we didn't. Im sure someone would lose an ear....

I hate asking this but what was the role of the Field Hygiene section... just wondering due to the act that I would like to get a history of the CF PMed Trade (the one in CFP 213 just doesnt cut it IMHO).

I beleive it is even split for the PAs for ship and land duty.... but almost all medical pers will start in the land environment

Congrats on finishing your RNs, failed out of mine by choice. Call your nearest Med Unit or Recruiting center...they have all the info, but I beleive you would be able to start the training with the military.

To put the horizontal stripe Vs Vertical stripe thing to a rest... I saw the new badge, my CO actually showed it to everyone and it is vertical, exactly like the ADM-HR(MIL) badge but in the form of a shield...
