If you have a Sea-Doo accident, be careful what side of the border you land on

Very true Bruce...but still one of the most idiotic things I've heard; waste of money, time & (I'm bettin') lots of paperwork.

I knew Mr. Devlin when he was a young Lt platoon commander in Duke's Coy 1RCR back in the early 80's &  I was a young snot-nose pte infanteer in the same coy. Nothing wrong with it, but just out of my own curiosity and sheer ignorance, why would an infantry officier assume responsibility as the...

    13,000 Japanese Protest Nuclear Carrier

About 13,000 protesters gathered at a park near the port of Yokosuka, just south of the capital, where the USS George Washington aircraft carrier will be based, media reports and organizers said. Just my humble opinion; I'm no tree hugger (far from it), but perhaps these fine folks should...

British Soldiers Banned in Medicine Hat

Served at a couple of officers & snr NCO's messes (back in the early 80's); seen some squirley shite after the CO or RSM went home.  Then again, was involved in some wild partying myself in the JR,s too (but then again, this was +20 years ago).  ;)

Gen X recruits vs Gen Y recruits

+1 Loachman. I joined the infantry fresh out of highschool at the age of 17 in 1982 as a naive, snot-nose, know-it-all punk who looked at some of his 'way' older NCO's in their mid to late 30's as decrepit ol' b*stards (little did I understand that some of 'em came up from the states with...

    Military still struggling in Arctic

Some of he older guys on here who were with 1RCR when we used to go to Norway for winter warfare training, will know what I'm talking about. Yep, retired Grunt, remember those days well with Duke's in Earton and Norway; I loved the pressure cooker in the griz's.

    RCR Special Service Force Commando

The early 80's in London we wore royal blue t-shirt under the smock with highly polished jump boots; nice looking boot, but would give me achilles tendonitis if I wore 'em for a length of time.

Medical exam - What do they look for on the skin part of the test?

I am sorry but I have another question about medical history. My parents died when I was still quite young and I don't know the details of their death. My relatives know who and where I am, but I have no information about them. Is this a concern when I fill out my family medical history? Hi...
