    ROTP 2011-2012

I went by my CFRC and learned I was selected ROTP-Civilian University, Pilot, my first and only choice.  :D I'll finish my degree at UQAM (Montréal). The number of spots available for ROTP-pilot is 40, althought I don't know how many people are on the merit list and how these 40 are...

    Pilot recruitment closed

They have a whole lot of very good candidates right now... What what kind of tightening in the standards you would have hoped for? When the AF is needing a lot of pilots, they'll hire a lot... Now they don't need too many, they won't hire too many, no matter how awesome our resumes are.

    ROTP 2011-2012

For those going through civilian university, do you have any idea when you are going to go to St-Jean for the boot camp? Is it normally done during the first summer? Congrats to everyone accepted! I hope to have so good news too next week.

    ROTP 2011-2012

I'm quite surprised you did not consider G_LOC'ing for a while. If I don't get an offer as pilot, I'll reapply next year. If I don't make it next year, I'll reapply for DEO in two years...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

You will receive a 17,30$ daily allowance while in Trenton... The CF takes care of the transportation, food and hotel for you. The food in Trenton is awesome. I have no idea why you need to do CAPPS, but enjoy it if you go. It can be very fun and you'll learn basic instruments scan. ( I can't...

    ROTP 2011-2012

;D This is going to stay with us for a long time! I'll say again: the CAPPS is not an airplane and it does not fly like an airplane. It is a TESTING DEVICE that tests your coordination, your concentration, learning curve and all that. The instruments and controls are identical to an airplane...

    ROTP 2011-2012

Little update: The 7 of us (pudd13 is one of them) at ASC this week all passed! We are all headed to Toronto DRDC for more medical tests thursday and friday. For those who will do ASC soon, relax and enjoy your stay. The food is awesome and the accomodations are great, and so is the ASC staff...

    ROTP 2011-2012

I was called today for ASC. I chose the first 3 slots he offered so I should be there last week of January or first of February. For all of you who are waiting for a call or a test, be patient and don't imagine that your file was lost or rejected somewhere in the processus. I applied on the...

    ROTP 2011-2012

Same thing for me. I thought the medical file was reviewed in Toronto thought. I handed my application on the second week of May, I was called for the CFAT second week of September. I did the CFAT end of September, interview and medicals in October.

    ROTP 2011-2012

That is what I thought too, but I got the information from the Captain who interviewed me. In any case, whatever they are doing with my file, it is in Toronto being evaluated...

    ROTP 2011-2012

:D Thanks for the correction. I called my CFRC today and my file in in Toronto right now. This is where they evaluate the medical "air factor". Pilot of course need the air factor "1". I'm a bit worried since I had a little problem with my back. I was cleared by my physiatrist and this problem...

At least you got your CAPPS (I did not receive anything yet)... Did they mail it to you right after the blood tests and ECG?

    ROTP 2011-2012

Such a person would make a very very lame officer. In the long run, I don't think someone with this kind of attitude can make it through all the process and formation. I hope (and I'm confident) there's not too many of them applying! Pudd13, did you get your call for ASC yet? Did they tell you...
