Good old Blackdown ... seems to have its own unique weather system.  I recall one day I was on course it actually hailed there.

The camp has changed a lot since then ... I first set foot on Blackdown in 1999 and I'm going back there this year.  For me it seems like so long ago that we had the mod tents, I've almost grown accustomed to these new tents :S.

I've thought about it and if I'm requested to then I might, but otherwise I'm not really sure.

I recall seeing it mentioned somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it in the joining instructions.  I do know that the CF stipulates 1 piece in their joining instructions (at least the ones I have do). I personally don't really see the purpose in bringing a 2 piece, your going to a cadet camp...

If the joining instructions say 70, it is possible that they will reimburse you for the extra baggage up to 70 pounds.  I suggest you contact the camp or region to inquire about this.

My Cadet Corps got them 2 weeks ago, and we've handed them out to all our cadets and officers.

A doctor is not allowed to just make it go away.  There is no current cure for asthma, and just because you haven't had an asthma attack for a long time ... doesn't eliminate the possibility of you having one. Try to understand it from their point of view ... the camp is trying to do everything...

In no way am I poking at Leadership & Challenge, I know that it is an advanced course and is an excellent opportunity for any cadet that is accepted to it.  I was trying to emphasize the point of NSCE being a requirement for any form of advanced training.
