Reccesoldier, I'm afraid you're a bit confused.. the CIC is its own part of the ResF, and is seperate and distinct from the PRes. That said, they can still (and do) work Class B contracts like the rest of the ResF.
Yes, Sapper, I understand that is how you feel about the situation, but what I'm stating is the reality. Would you be on board for pan ResF pay raises if you knew it was pan ResF?
Not a different kettle of fish, and I'm not starting anything. It is a legitimate comment, and question.
The CIC is part of the ResF. They would be included in any acts amending the ResF pay structure.
I was told I would origianlly commence driving around this time - but what of the actual Intensive Drill Period? Is this the same? Sorry for the questions - its just that I have to make a downpayment on this travel opportunity soon, and I don't want to get jammed by having to give up the...
Question - I'm planning some travel, but my BOR Is now making noises that I may be up for a rank-and-file position proper. Does anyone know the dates for when the Intensive Drill Period starts?
I understand fully that a hard mentality is requisite, believe me, I do. It must also come with extreme professionalism, and extreme discipline. I am only referencing the documentary as it relates to the Marines and their training, in that I felt that sometimes the indoctrination exceeded...
Count me in the Guelph mob. Second year of university now, and will be a 1st year ROTP Cadet starting my third year of school. I was hoping for some information from one of the experienced Guelph hands, actually, mind if I PM you?
I guess you haven't seen the documentary then.
I think you're misinterpreting what I said, because what I did say would make a bit more sense if you'd seen the documentary (about the USMC and its training).
I wasn't entirely sure. I'd love to be a "Foot Guard" again, even if it was for the summer (I was a GGFG cadet moons ago - just a bit sentimental I suppose!).
I really wanted a rank and file position, but if I'm driivng, well, thats okay too
Anyone know what the work is like for drivers? ...
Just out of curiosity - are those in supporting roles re-badged? I know it is the norm (as far as I've personally seen) for drivers (et al.) to be badged as soldiers in the regiment. Does this mean that if I am a driver for the summer, I'll be GGFG or CGG? Just curious!
Wes, I know and have worked with Capt Sloan. This man is one and the same as the Capt Sloan that Neil McKay has contacted.
Contact me if you're interested in any information I may be available to provide.
