    My parents say no

No. ROTP is Regular Officer Training Plan.  It is a program for producing officers for the Reg Force, not the reserves.  I have no idea how you become a reserve Nursing Officer.  Talk to your recruiting center.

    Non residents pay more?

I'm not saying anything is reasonable.  I'm just guessing at possible justification they might provide if asked why they charge non-residents more for entry. EDIT: I guess I did say it was reasonable in my first post.  Poor choice of words.  As I said, I'm just guessing possible explanations.

    Non residents pay more?

Devil's advocate: Do their tax dollars subsidize the operational costs of the Biodome, while residents of other provinces do not? This is the only possible reasonable explanation I can think of.

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

No one will answer this question for you; however, in order to help you prepare for your interview, I'll point you to the link I found as the first hit on a Google search for "CF interview preparation." http://www.11rca.ca/web_pdf/prep.pdf I highly recommend every applicant complete this...

So You Want to be an officer, eh!

Why not paint everyone with the same brush?  Great approach to take with people. See how far it gets you.

How to get my recruiter E-mail?

I'm going to offer some friendly advice. You post here frequently with questions with very specific answers.  Your best bet to find all of the specific information you're looking for, and to maximize its accuracy and current relevance, is to contact your local recruiting center.  CFRC Det...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Yeah, I did a quick Google and discovered that the Queen's Own Rifle's are the only Militia unit in Canada with a parachute tasking. I guess the OP neglected to clarify that.  I assume he's aware of Reg Force regiments with jump coys, as well as the many other cadets who have their jump wings...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

It changes from year to year, so my enrollment process a couple of years ago will not look like yours will.  All of the information you seek is readily available on the internet (try the RMC website for degree questions, and forces.ca for required degrees for different occupations), or through...

    questions about ROTP?

Your travel is a work expense and thus covered.  What are the hours like? I recommend watching the 'Basic Up' series, which you can find on Youtube.  A regular day, in garrison, will start with physical training at 0500 and then include all kinds of things (inspection, drill, lectures, classes...

    Not meeting physical requirments

It's daily physical fitness, so better than nothing.  I haven't done it, but I imagine you'd want to supplement it with running as well.  A lot of your PT will be running.

    Not meeting physical requirments

I think you should head into the forces ready to exceed the basic physical requirements; that said, many people get through basic and just make the standard.  The application process can be lengthy, so I wouldn't have any fear about applying now if you're already at the minimums, and using the...

    questions about ROTP?

    1. If you want to be a nursing officer, then you would be studying at a civilian university.  You would have virtually no duties during the school year aside from succeeding in school.  You may have to attend a briefing every now and then, and you might have to visit your ULO (University Liaison...

    ROTP recruit, An introduction

All is not as it seems. At some point in the process, one of the forms requires the applicant to accept a conditional offer of employment.  It's a little tick in a box somewhere.  Maybe someone working in recruiting can speak to exactly what it means, but it certainly doesn't mean that anybody...

    Infantry fit?

PSP are always picky about pushups, and everyone thinks they can do more than they actually can (at least in terms of proper Expres pushups). Nobody can possibly tell you, by looking at those sample numbers, whether or not you're in good enough shape for infantry training.  Many on this site...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Once you've completed all steps of the application process, there's no need to be in regular contact with them, unless you would like, for your peace of mind, to continue to hear that they're awaiting results of the selection board. Answers usually come out in the spring and continue into the...

    Degree Completion Program

I don't know of any program for recognizing prior education, like a diploma, except for PLAR.

I would never recommend ditching math.  You'll need it for the rest of your life.

Hi, I want to join the military

Straight off the recruiting website: You'll have to wait until you're at least 17 to join and have parental consent. I won't pretend to know your family circumstances, but I will go ahead and say that getting into the CF is competitive, and these days, many applicants have completed high...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

A little dramatic, but I supposed it's better to be focused than not. That being said, I wanted to breathe more than I wanted ROTP, so I was sure to, like you said, have a plan B.  In fact, ROTP was my plan B, so I was sure to have a plan C.  I'm in plan B now and it's pretty damn good- maybe...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

This looks like a contradiction.  Wouldn't they determine that they've filled all their positions by comparing the number of offers/acceptances with the number of projected positions?  Wouldn't that number of available positions be a set number?
