just a small question about the beret...will the course staff chew you out if you cut off the tags in your beret, or are you just best to leave them in until you are done you BMQ, SQ and your 3's...I know to leave the liner in to.

Just a few questions, might seem kinda dumb but I'm interested in the Construction tech trade. What exactly do the Construction Techs do? Is there main purpose just to build buildings and such for the forces? and what reg force Combat Engineer Regiments have a Construction Tech detachment? :cdn:

I agree with poko about the gortex boots they do make it very slippery to walk in cold conditions. I just have a few questions, like about the ICE gear...what is it? and the Ballistic glasses, are they reg. force issue only? 

no I only got the ranger blanket...the thermal blanket sounds cool though, but are they only issuing it to the reg. forces right now?

I would have to say my most favorite peice of equipment is my ranger blanket...its doesn't seem like it will keep you warm because it is so thin, but it sure does keep you warm....

The Canadian Cadet movement is fine the way it is, if kids had to pay, it would turn them away from joining, some families can't really afford to pay to have their kids goto cadets, plus they get fine enough training now a days for what cadets has become.

I just got my Tac. Vest not to long ago,I like it its got alot of ammo carrying capacity, but no real space like the butpack had with the old 82 pattern webbing.

Don't worry about the drill it will come to you in time, and they always say practice makes perfect, you'll catch on sooner or later...

hahaha drill class that was a joke, same with the lecture, most of the staff get lazy after the second or third person and begin to makr easily...

Cadets  has taken me to borden and peackeeper park...I've been in for 3 years, its hasn't taken me very far away from home...
