    World War 3 is underway

I tend to agree but there is the problem of fighting an Ideology not empire that separates the two ad makes them distinctive.

    World War 3 is underway

The only reason I did not include the Cold War was that it was fought by proxy in Korea, 4 Arab/Israeli wars, Vietnam, Cuba, Angola, Lebanon, Afghanistan etc these wars were not global in nature in so far as  the USSR and NATO (being the major powers by far) didn't fight it out directly.  This...

    World War 3 is underway

Well in terms of time WW-1 was 4years, WW-2 was 6years, the war on terror is in it's 7th year and we still haven't toppled the 2 largest supporters of world terrorism being Iran and Syria I think that it is fair to say that we are on the way to WW-3. None of the major terrorist formations have...

Israel strikes Hard at Hamas In Gaza- Dec/ 27/ 2008

Regretable as it is that this whole mess started in the first place, the Idea that Fatah members are making Hamas worried enough to arrest and or kill them may be the "End Game " plan that may end this war.  I'm thinking that now Israel has reached the Med and split the area in two might not...

    World War 3 is underway

Albert Einstein said that he didn't know how we would fight WW-3, but he did know how we would fight WW-4..with sticks and stones. ( and it will probably be in the middle east!)

    Let them fail!

I Used to work for Magna international, there a very good reasons that the big 3 are collapsing. 1. Building SUV's when they should have been developing cars. 2. Over producing low demand high priced vehicles.  (just drive up the Allen express way in Toronto and look at the airfield!) 3...

    Iran Super Thread- Merged

If Syria or Iran were to attack Israel I'm sure that Israel would not be fighting alone, and I doubt that more moderate states like Jordan, and Egypt would have something to say but they wouldn't get involved.  Now about dealing with hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic jihad and the multiple number of...

    Iran Super Thread- Merged

Firstly  I want it made clear Right now that I don't think any soldier dies in vain nor would I belittle the sacrifice they and their families make.  The allied troops in Iraq did an amazing job and don't get enough credit for it they were dumped into the middle of 3 cultures that have been...

    Iran Super Thread- Merged

I don't think that an attack by the U.S. unilaterally is likely without real unmistakable proof, not if they want any kind of support from anybody.  This is due to the botch up in Iraq. I could see the U.S. attack Iran in retaliation but not without as you said causing the whole middle east  to...

    Iran Super Thread- Merged

Iran either has or wants to build nuclear weapons.  It has spent billions of dollars trying to build missiles that have ranges over the 7000km range, ie the Ashoura missile program.  Why go to all this trouble to deliver 2000kg HE warheads?  It would haven better to build a medium range bomber. ...

Close Air Support in the CF: Bring back something like the CF-5 or introduce something with props?

Here are two aircraft being marked as F-5 fighter replacements that may do the job, first South Korea's A-50 attack aircraft it uses the same engine and radar as the F-18C, and is basically an 80% size version of the F-16C, it has a decent weapons load it can carry AIM-9L's, Mavericks, MK-80's...

AWACS or airborne warning & control what is the diffrence?

I was reading about Japans 767 AWACS and the article mentioned that there was a 737 Airborne Warning and Control aircraft.  The article was very clear that the two systems are diffrent but it made no mention as to how.  I'm assuming that there must be significant changes, I found a picture of...

    FWSAR (CC130H, Buffalo, C27J, V22): Status & Possibilities

I'm no expert so I'll just ask the questions from the pro's, Do you think that the design of the aircraft would allow for such major changes?

    FWSAR (CC130H, Buffalo, C27J, V22): Status & Possibilities

Would the same assembly technique be used  for a new buff as with the Twin Otter? ( parts cut in BC and moved to Calgary for assembly) Or would it be fabrication and assembly in Calgary? Merry Christmas.

    A possible C-130H Replacement?

We have a company that you are all familiar with call Skylink Aviation who's major business is using Russian aircraft to move around oversized cargo.  What I'm saying is by using a civilian launch customer we could offset the cost of the program, there is a large enough demand for the services...

    A possible C-130H Replacement?

Fixed wing SAR Is diffrent from what I'm proposing. That is needed ASAP.  What I'm saying is that we bought 4 C-17 and 17 C-130J's, my understanding is that these aircraft are to replace the 'E' models that are falling appart and there is needing to replace the 'H's' soon as well.  From  various...

Blue sky thoughts for Polaris replacements

I agree with the 777 being a posibility, and its price is actually listed as US $231million ea Fly away cost.  Before Canada 3000 shut down we we negotiating the purcase of 2 aircraft for out YYZ-MAN run.  That deal died with the airline but service per flight hour was better than for the 5 757...

    A possible C-130H Replacement?

I know that we did it in the past my grandfather helped to design them and ran Beaver production in the late 40's.What I'm saying is let's do it again. With out the pressure of pushing out something that could be great but gets botched up we have time to do the job right.
