    Pistols - Where to buy

Heard good things about Al's shop too. One of my friends bought an unissued Type 56 Carbine with EIS as well as an M-305 (Norinco M14 clone.) He told me if you have problems or need repairs on a gun you bought from Al's, he'll have it repaired at no cost. Sounds pretty awesome, I think I'll...

    Who uses the 5.7mm ammo?

Cool....but I suspect an bullpup this "compact" must really need a counter-weight for stable fire (like the ones in the front handguard of the full L85.)

    .50 cal desert eagle???

Norinco is a mixed bag...example M-305 (aka M14 clone) - average verdict is the metals used in the receivers are too soft and you'll get headspace issues after firing only 500 or so rounds through it. M1897 Trench Gun - apparently well made (tougher than the originals) and cheap too (thinking...

Sell it to people who play airsoft or paintball. Hell, why not put your stuff up on the Buy / Sell forum and see what you can sell / trade for it?

Agreed 100% With the exception of Winter Exes, the idea of Marching Order and the sustenance it provides has gotten less reinforced.

    Tips on Cleaning the C-7

Tips for cleaning ANY weapon... 1. Shower - It works, if you use hot water (any water works if you're washing out sand or mud.) We were actually instructed to clean the 60mm Mortar in the shower and then wipe it down with Varsol. 2. Baby Wipes - Preferably "Wet Ones." Non-abrasive, highly...

    Best ammunition for M1 Garand

Well, it sounds a lot better than using steel wool (and safer, too.) I'll give it a try when / if I get more boxes of treasure.

    Small Pack Issue

You think the Fanny packs are bad? I've seen one guy use the quad fanny pack as a mini nuke bag. He sticks his arms through the quad straps and actually wears it as a daypack on our Driver's course. Quite hilarious, yet effective for toting notes and a CD Player.

    Small Pack Issue

While I agree it seems silly to carry both, the ruck has one thing going for it that the SPS doesn't: The FRAME. Hauling awkward items on your ruck like the SF kit (or other cargo, like jerry cans) is a lot easier with a frame than without one. Also, a frame also gives you something more secure...

    Best ammunition for M1 Garand

As I said before, all the stuff is dated '42. Most of it is in good shape (with odd blue dot of rot here and there.) As for headstamps, most of it is TW 42; Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant , Minneapolis, Minn., USA wich operated under Federal Cartidge Co. from 1942 - 1945 and then reopened...
