If you're asking can you take the basic parachute course the answer technically is yes. However will you have an opportunity to take the course that is another question?

Drivers are more commonly used for logistical support or for troop lift. Driving officers about isn't that common a task for reservists. There are always seems to be a need for driver qualified personnel especially those qualified troop lift or dangerous goods.

As a reservist the driver wheeled course is definitely one way to make yourself more employable. However, doing your leadership course once you are ready to do so is another way of opening up employment opportunities for yourself.

After having read all this I'm very hesitant to purchase a civilian version of an AR-15 for competitive shooting. The idea of investing some money in this and then for the RCMP to just arbitrarily decide to reclassify the rifle as prohibited really f$&#'s me off.

Such a shame. I've always thought the A-10 was a brilliant bit of kit for close air support. Not sure if anyone here was already aware of this but Hans-Ulrich Rudel who was a Stuka pilot and the most decorated German serviceman from WW 2 was a consultant for the design of the A-10?
