It's a bit of a joke thing we've had going in our unit for a number of years and isn't a real rank. Whoever is the longest serving trooper has that title bestowed upon them. It's just a bit of fun.

Ummm, no. Here park regulations are standard. There are very few changes from one municipality to another, and these are primarily to do with whether it is in the city or a rural area. Well clearly in your part of the world it IS illegal to do that. How else can they charge you? But yeah OMG ::)

Very true. The unit took more than its share of casualties as they were being pushed so hard to make it before may day. Stalin himself was apparantly most insistent that this occur before the parade.

By 'restructuring' what I assume is meant is 'gutting'. The last I heard on it was that ARES Arty units were going to lose their guns and become mortar only units. Given what the army did to the ARES armoured units, this is very believable. I'm not surprised at us turning down the dutch either...

I don't think you can compare the two like that. A non smoker has to breath in a smokers smoke, but a non drinker does not have to drink a drinkers drink. Drinking does affect a soldiers taskworthiness, as does smoking. Being enemy party when the 'friendlies' have smokers. They show up...
