The D12 is certainly the outsider here. Part of me is hoping Roshel gets LUV so BAE gets DAME which opens the door to get an armed version of the the BVS10 like what was used in Afghanistan. Heck the armoured corps has arctic cav concepts using something like those floating around haha.
Winnipeg certainly makes sense too with North Bay. Spreads the asset around a bit and its a nice, central location. Lots of room at 17 Wing to grow too.
As long as it can handle tracks and trails who cares if its a bit sluggish. Not setting land speed records. I just hope they start buying shit in LUV phase 1 and 2 in earnest. Its so so so overdue.
As unlikely as it is, an early selection for LUV would be a godsend in my little corner of the Army haha. More realistically, I could see some ALAV or ACSV announcements.
I wonder if theres an option for more they can exercise with all the new money. Itd certainly be an easy win and this truck seems pretty cool. Much much much needed.
Its a bit of a nothing-burger. Nothing those paying attention didnt know.

Kevin - as an aside you mentioned that US snipers dont spend enough time in position to be truly proficient and that Commonwealth snipers usually do. Why is that? Can you elaborate?
Something like that would be so refreshing from our end. The RCAC has been lacking good communicators at the high levels for a long time, I daresay since Uncle Walt. In fact, that might be one of the reasons we're in the state we are now, the alarms were never adequately communicated.
