It’s more profitable to let them pay forever than to let them default when the mortgage is under water. There are no shortage of jobs, it’s just that people bought stuff with money they didn’t have...
That article is from 18 months ago. It’s about people being out of work because everything is closed. Also says that half the population thinks it’s a good idea to buy stuff they can’t afford.
Part of the Greener Homes grant is a 0% interest loan for 10 years up to $40,000. There’s a grant for heat pumps, and there’s a new grant on top of that for switching off of oil.
My dad in NB switched from firewood to mini-split heat pumps a few years ago and said his power bill didn’t change at all but now he doesn’t have to buy/move/pile wood or start/tend the fireplace. It’s a pretty popular switch there. It’s subsidized by the tyrannical government.
That’s weird, I’ve never had an issue getting through, usually I’m number 7 or less in the queue. In the unlikely event that is a phishing attempt maybe google their phone number instead of calling a number on a letter you may have received?
My buddy just picked up a brand new stubby J for the USCG so they’re still making them. It had 15 hours on it (presumably some test flights by Lockheed) and no paint.
Good thing we already spent the effort to cancel all the non-essential stuff like… well, someone, somewhere, with less important stuff to do probably cancelled something? Maybe a golf tournament? Not the charity one though, those are important.
Not that long ago I saw a base-wide email saying “don’t drink the water in XX hangar” followed a day later by “the water is now safe because the WComd has accepted the risk”. I’ll bring my own water, thanks.
Yeah, the ones in Trenton have large chunks of concrete falling off of them. I vaguely recall having to vote on a crazy expensive air conditioner for the OMess because you have to not be able to see it… heritage of this crappy looking building.
