    Significant Site Upgrade Complete

I'm unable to post into the Military Discounts thread. Tried it on both Milnet and Navy, neither worked.

    Monitor Mass

Seen. Don't know how I missed that. Completely agree with your points on financial gain as well. In developing one system, we eliminate the need for extraneous systems and updating them every time we update the core system. Additionally, I think on that point we'll also save our members a lot...

    Monitor Mass

Out of curiosity, if they are making a new HRMS system, why can this not incorporate Monitor Mass? Right now, we have numerous systems and we're trying to make them all work off of information from each other, and when changes are made in some they won't necessarily be uploaded to the others...

    Interview advice (merged)

As a new member of the forums, don't worry about MilPoints. You made a mistake in claiming you were something you weren't (if you had needed to put something in, you could have put in something like "Pending" or "Applicant"). Accept it and move on. MilPoints don't really mean anything to your...

Looking for advice & words of wisdom

Funny thing here: I'm only a young'in yet (still in university) and I've given the same spiel to a couple of people who've asked me about how they could transfer anything learned in combat arms to civilian life. Must have an old soul  ;D To the OP, I'd echo what people here are saying. There...

    New Game: Make a wish

Granted. All the dirt that would have been on your car now follows it and you inside of your apartment, where it all finally comes to rest. I wish my argumentative essay about capital punishment was finished.

    New Game: Make a wish

Granted. You toss and turn all night, partly due to the pens in your bed. You wake up more tired, and when you try to go back to sleep because you feel like you're going to crash, the cycle repeats. I wish I didn't have 20 more assignments, tests, masterclasses and concerts within the next...

    Vision Requirements for NET(C)

Is this the segment of the military with huge hair?  >:D Naval trades are certainly not all V3. CDN Aviator has listed exactly the reference you'll want to read. It lists the Medical Category required for every CF occupation (and even some specialties such as Ship's Team Diver, Parachutist and...

That's not what a 5(d) release is. 5(d) is: 5(d) is not a good item to release under.

    Navy Acronym/Title

In addition to these, there are a few post-nominals for use within the CF. They are detailed here: http://www.cmp-cpm.forces.gc.ca/pd/pi-ip/01-10-eng.asp

Being called back to duty after contract expires..

Could this be a misinterpretation of what's on the Enrollment Form (CF 444)? This passage means that you can be required to continue to serve for up to one year after an emergency or active service. It does not mention being recalled to service after a release.

    Navy Acronym/Title

Since we're on the subject, one further to that. Post-nominals for the Order of St. John are not supposed to be used in the CF as they are only authorized for use within the order itself. Edit to fix spelling error

The Reserve Thread- A Merged Collection of Q & A's

On the test, if you put down a wrong answer, you don't get the points. On some tests, if you put down a wrong answer, points are actually taken away (e.g. if you had 15 right, got one wrong and left 4 blank, your score might be 14/20).

Verification of Former Service (VFS) [Merged]

Your story was not disregarded. George merely pointed out that it is the exception rather than the norm. In fact, he further helped your point by stating that he should have his stuff ready for a PLAR as he might be able to get some qualifications back. I feel that George was actually very...
