From pay sheet to pay check- developing a reserve pay primer for my troops

I'll concede to you on that then, as I don't deal with Class C in my occupation. I made that point based on what I had read around the forums. Thank you for informing me. Nevertheless, Class B is based on the daily rate, and Class C on the monthly rate.

From pay sheet to pay check- developing a reserve pay primer for my troops

Brihard, I commend you on putting together such a great resource for new members. It is a complicated system (as many of the posts here show), and you have distilled it down to the basics that most members need to know. One point that I noticed to fix though is on page 3, under Rank and IPC...

    Release -- overpayment of wages

I actually had something like this happen with the CF. Following employment as a Civilian Instructor in a recent summer, I received a letter saying that I had been paid Incidental Expenses which, as a Civilian Instructor, I was not entitled to. It requested I send a cheque for the amount to the...

    alternative to CF

The problem here is, in part, that you are judging the basic training from Basic Up, a program produced by the CF to give some insight into BMQ. They don't sugarcoat it, but they simply cannot show most of what happens. This is what happens when you compress a few months of training into 15...

Cadets vs Reserves for RMC applicant

I hardly think that is an appropriate comment. As a CIC Officer myself, I have encouraged cadets coming to me about this to explore their options and do whatever they feel is best. I have even helped them search up the information they have been looking for to help give them a fair view. I...

    A Picture of Real Bravery

To the person who posted the picture, thank you. LEOs in our country and in many others have gotten a bad rap for too many people, and to see that someone cared enough to send that letter in and to make sure that our LEOs get some respect, it really made me think a bit about it and reflect on...

Summer camps .... what did you get!

It doesn't typically kill plants, and you can eat berries out there. It is true, and was actually in the media this past week. It will kill humans if ingested. So as I said, don't eat food out of the mess.

    Getting Issued Hoodies

I find them quite comfortable! One place to find them would be CSTC Mont. St-Sacrement, Quebec. That is the RCSM(E) (Regional Cadet School of Music (Eastern)) I was issued them when I went there for the AMBC (Advanced Military Band Course). Great course, and a lot of fun, by the way. If you...

Summer camps .... what did you get!

Ok, I found out that I got CLI Band at Argonaut. It's wierd though: I did basic band, CL band, and then they sent me on advanced band in Quebec. This year I do CLI. I guess it's cause I did my level 4 last year. Oh well, it's a challenge for them now: they have to test a level 5 musician.  >:D...
