    Have you checked out the recruiting web site, descriptions of all the trades available to civilians are on there. That's where I started. http://www.recruiting.forces.gc.ca/engraph/home/index_e.aspx Some of the videos the recruiters have also appear on the website.. in lower quality of course...

    Those are AF, Navy doesn't have specific CADPAT epaulettes .. not that I know of.

    I did more digging and found that the jacket that goes with the combats (which I think are called NCDs?) have the black trade badges.

    I was surprised to find out today that I've been classified in the Navy .. no CADPAT for me :) correction: I imagine I'll be wearing CADPAT during BMQ.

    Where does the trade badge fit in on the Navy uniform? Do all types of uniforms have a trade badge? I've seen alot pics with blue shirts, no one seems to have a trade badge.

    I applied for ATIS Tech, I was offered COMM RSCH (my second choice). When I asked when the ATIS board was, they said it's Jan 5th.. and they have one slot open. Call and ask, pretty sure they'll give you the info.

    Dress semi casual, it's a formal kind of thing. You will be given instructions and tickets or what not to get to BMQ. Might want to bring a camera, maybe a few family members.
