That's what I thought. They never "really found a reason to not hire me" but feel it's best to defer me a year, to continue my education and whatnot... And that was right at the very end, everything done sucessfully... I was told everything was done perfectly and that I'd make a good recruit...

Oh yes, it's definately something to do on those rainy days, long nights... or if you're just bored and don't want to go to the range. The initial costs I found a bit high at first... but once I had everything sorted out, it was great.

I most certainly AM reloading! Haha. Anyone who pistol shoots or does any considerable amount of rifle shooting... or even loves custom shotgun loads should reload... it's a fantastic hobby.

Yeah, not many responded... One recommended I get it in from the USA, but that's just a lot of messing around... with the current regs and all.

The .45acp is truly a beautiful round. I am a range slut, haha. That described me perfectly. Not sure of ammo prices where you guys are but A box of 9mm isn't much cheaper than .45acp. A few dollars maybe..

Go buy yourself a Ruger KP345. I have the decock only model, it's fantastic. Comes in .45ACP. Beautiful pistol. No jams yet and almost a thousand rounds through it.

They check everything but your genitals. If I were you, I'd go for the CF. If you pass up on going to the military, there's a possibility that you do not get picked for the RCMP. Then you're in a real jam. You could always reapply to the RCMP after your stint in the military.

Well, they've contacted all of my remaining references and some more. I'm waiting to see what the verdict is. I would hope they wouldn't have me wait all this time to say no, only time will tell.

Well spoken. It's just so damn hard to actually get to Depot in the first place though! I passed in my application in 2004 and I'm still clawing and scraping my way through the process. Should have an update soon!
