Does anyone know if the video footage shot at Stalwart Guardian is posted on the internet somewhere? I know there was a VHS tape made up with all the footage - we were going to watch it on the bus ride home but the bus was only equipped with a DVD player.
They had said that all the pictures and...
Does anyone know if it is possible to order the maps used in the CF? For example our regiment trains in the same area quite often and maps are sometimes scarce. It would be nice to have my own personal map which I could map tac etc.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I just finished my last weekend of BMQ this weekend. You can do your BMQ on weekends (10 weekends) throughout the year and then your SQ/BIQ during the summer.
I believe they also offer BMQ/SQ combination in the summer but you have to wait until the following summer to do your BIQ or course for...
I'm finishing my BMQ next weekend. My advice...teamwork teamwork teamwork! The instructors stress teamwork all the time. If they tell you to grab your kit and get on the parade square ASAP don't just grab your kit and run to try to be the first one down there. Grab your stuff and see if anyone...
You are clearly wrong here. You said the barrel would be painted blue, yet the original post said that they use the regular barrel. C6's and C9's don't have bright blue barrels.
We had two guys quit after our first weekend of BMQ which seemed to me to be outrageous.
I think another reason why people quit early on is because they had unreal expectations as to what they were gettign themselves into. I'm sure some people come in thinking it's like boy scouts! Do some...
It' s easy for GO!!! and others to sit back and judge the man. Until you are in the position that he was in, seeing what he saw everyday and running into problem after problem perhaps we shouldn't judge.
The man came back completely shattered. PTSD hit him hard and took him a long time to...
Keep in mind that the fitness test is a step test and not the 2.4km. I was running the 2.4km to get ready for the test and found the step test very easy. If you can do your pushups and situps and are in somewhat decent cardio shape (aka not a bag) then you'll do fine. I wouldn't worry too much...
From what we were told on course, the weapon is very reliable, accurate and dependable. I'm not sure about the C7A2....have heard a few different things. Either way I think only people on tour will get the C7A2s for now... if that.
I'm not sure about reg force, but for reserver you are not a trained private until you have completed your BMQ, SQ, and BIQ. I think you may have to complete the same courses for reg force, but the courses themselves are longer.
I"d go into as much detail as possible. Know how long BMQ, SQ and BIQ (assuming your going infantry) is. That way no matter which way he/she words the questions you'll be prepared.
You will have to do BMQ and SQ as part of your "basic training" - but BMQ is ther very first course - it's your introduction to the military lifestyle and by far the most basic of the two.
You usually prarade once a week and then have a weekend exercise once every couple months.
When you first join however you will have to take your BMQ - Basic Mliitary Qualification, SQ - Soldier Qualification and BIQ - Basic Infantry Qualification (assuming you are going infantry)
Depending...
Damn I just showed up at the armouries to go to North Bay and they said we were not going. They didn't really explain too much, just told me not to worry about it.
Did he not show up or something? or was this just a decision made by our regiment?
