Since the thread was re-opened.... After 7 months in Kandahar (both inside and outside the wire), I have to say I never once regretted my purchase of the desert pattern of SWAT.  Bought a black pair upon returning also.  Absolutely love them. FDL :cdn:

Advice, stay in school!! Ultimately you'll go further in life. The CF is a big proponent of education. Every drop out I know in the forces has ultimately gotten their high school equivalency, regretting their decision to drop out. Some of them have even gone on to complete their Masters Degree...

Although I love a good cup of Timmies as much as the next guy, I won't hammer them for not opening a shop over here.  They already donate 1000's (10,000's) of dollars worth of coffee each year to the troops.  Beside's it just gives me one more thing (on the many I already have) to be thankful...

(The enemy forces targeting convoys outside of Canadian compounds, are hardly hunting for Americans........) That road is actually not that close to our compound, its a few klicks away.  Every Coalition partner travels the same routes, we were just the first to go down that route that day...
