I'm not gonna sugarcoat it.. there are MANY shady unscrupulous individuals in the us army.  There are many (mainly young gangbanger punks) i would not want covering my back in combat. But hey, Bush wants #'s - what can you do? But MOST soldiers are pretty damn standup tho and follow the army...

Specialist.  E-4.  I don't know what's the equivalent in the CF.  It's NCO, 2 levels above private.  1 level below Sergeant. r

while you're at home - it's called patriotic.  When you're deployed - it's called, saving your ass, and getting home in one piece.  Then figure out if what u did really did anthing for your country.  :) r

Shouldnt' it be based upon where you live? Here in the US (i'm us army) you get paid based upon your rank, dependents and your home city. 18 y/o's from the ghetto may make a crapload of money.  Family men living in NYC with 3 kids and a mortgage may barely make ends meet. r
