Are RCAF DEU items in short supply as well? I remember reading a while back that there was an issue with the fabric being so old it was difficult to source. My assumption is they're using the same stuff for all 3 uniforms in different colours.
Only if required by the base/country you're going to deploy into. I remember NATO required flu vaccines for Kabul around the early 2010s as a base policy for any deploying soldier.
I'll also take the time to remind folks that if you want nice things, you can debate the policy not the policy...
I said competent MCpl, not "hit the minimums MCpl" which is still ridiculously fast at 5 or 6 years as per the new policy (which is just sliding left a year). 8000 people recruited FY 25/26 should not be ready to instruct until FY 33/34. You don't just magically change how competent someone is...
Those instructors are 8 years away for a competent MCpl and 12+ for a Sergeant. We're bleeding those ranks by filling up with Ptes and promoting them to Cpl faster.
Hey folks, can we maybe not take the bait by replying to an obvious political meme that contravenes our forum rules? I really don't want to bin a page of posts because someone can't follow the rules. The mods can't be here 24/7.

Could have set it up to provide free flights for patients for low serviced areas to get to Toronto, Ottawa or Sudbury for cancer/heart/neuro issues. Lots of folks need to travel long distances and it'd be a great use of in-between hours to help the province.
The priority was retaining power. That's why they bought floor crossers. If it was the economy they'd have been working with PP for the last year to pass legislation which they flatly refused to do.
I wonder when she's calling the byelection. 3 months ago she was calling for those byelections for floor crossers. She's also closer to the PPC than LPC so why is Carney courting the fringe right of the CPC?
What did they offer her or what dirt do they have on her?
With the absolute dumpster fire our economy is in, I find it hard to believe anyone wanting on that ship unless they've been encouraged by suspicious means.
You are going to be one of the reasons this thread gets moved to politics area. Check out the last 309 pages of fairly respectable discussion to figure out how to correct yourself.

@rmc_wannabe I dont think the US military is, but bombastic leaders who just want to paint everything as roses are definitely overstating successes. This was never going to be a quick 4 week mission as the strikes need to be sustained for the long term to bring regime change or make Iran realize...
MANPADs are not an air picture and are almost impossible to stamp out. I think Brihard mentioned a MANPAD trap and it would be pretty easy to execute, especially after knowing CSAR would be coming in heavy.
This is a tactical win only.
