    Army Reserve Restructuring

My point was ze Germans had a better system to get some value out of people who objected to mikitary service.

    Army Reserve Restructuring

If you have national service what do you do with conscientious objectors? Well for some that means they do necessary civil work. Ie life guards, hospital orderlies, etc. Your tax dollars already pay for those life guards what's the difference?

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

By bran h you mean corps / branches or do you mean army as a branch? Objectively not the case. People are proud of their branches and what they do. If you broke up the 3 regular infantry regiments and frankly wed just replace one tribalism for another, and have just as many people working in...

    Informing the Army’s Future Structure

Not really though, the Div is purely administrative. An actual division that is concerned with all three CMBGs is going to be more hands on.

    Informing the Army’s Future Structure

I actually think grouping the Bdes and giving some actual command oversight is a pretty important step forward.

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

If we judged every regiment by its most embarrassing members the RRCA would be banned from owning dogs.

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

Because since WW2 everyone decided reorganization and redesignation was spitting on their history. Look at the BCR - they have history as artillery and infantry, as needs changed their name and tasks changed to match the requirements.

    Informing the Army’s Future Structure

I think my issue stems from the idea that return to heritage in an inherently good thing, when instead the question should be what is our most efficient way to deliver fires. I see this at the unit where its more discussion of "how its supposed to be", when this is an excellent opportunity to...

    Informing the Army’s Future Structure

Just about every NATO army but us has the FSO / FSTs organic to maneuver, we're weird outliers. The Brits have "tac batteries" that are all OPs. Just like how our fire discipline is unique - which sort of affected interoperability but i digress. I mean in theory, but if youre not responding to...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

There's a line between hopeless and rational. Name one country thats abandoned its F35 order in the last year. Denmark actually ordered more.

    Informing the Army’s Future Structure

STA and OP troops will be part of the gun Bty. I largely differ in that I'd have the OPs in their supported units vs in the artillery regiments. The important relationship is more with the supported commander than with the gun CP who should be able to take anyone's data... if FATES wasn't ass...

    Informing the Army’s Future Structure

Arty Bns are standing down OP Btys in April, establishing ATGs, while the STA Btys will be in flux. In 1 RCHA C Bty will form the nucleus of or LRPF with NCOs and Officers going off on probably HIMARS course to form the cadre until 3 RCHA stands up and 1 moves to rockets.

    CAF Procurement

We're trying. Cabling is useful. Stuff like adapters to go from T7 / V60 to lav drop cables so guys can hope in a lav and get on comms without fucking around is great.

The way it's built it's going to result in a lawsuit

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

The solution to that is buying more K9s and simulators not buying something gun to train on that has little to no carry over for what we intend to fight with.

Indirect Fires Modernization Project - C3/M777 Replacement

Exactly this. Air laudable forces capable of denying the "islands" of habitation in the ocean of Arctic tundra to an enemy. Very similar to a marine litoral regiment. Himars / precision fires, AD, infantry to secure.

    LAV 6.0

AXPs are still a thing. The Ukranians would prefer to use these if they could / had them, if only because of higher capacity per trip and better life expectancy. If if youre extracting off the x on a pick up - these just moves back a step. In the world of 20k dead zones bot a bad thing.

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

You asserted very wrong data. Loaded vs clean is confusing for you i think? The RCAF alert air craft are launched armed. We aren't going to send unarmed air craft on intercept missions. Why lunch an F35 it is carrying weapons seems like a weird question. While certainly its stealth would be...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

There's more F35 in Europe alone than Gripens. The advantage is purely giving the us the finger. We need it to be able to kill other planes both in our air space and abroad. We need it to do that efficiently and at a very high win loss ratio. Thats its job. When we say "less effective or...
