Yea, I actually didn't even do that. The Captain just asked me to write an email, I did that and it was approved. I wrote it like a letter though. Was approved a few weeks later. Currently in the "Final Processing stage"
Hah, yea I could try. I finished everything and was expecting a job offer call, instead I got told I need them finger prints. Hoping it doesn't take long :P (hoping)
Thanks you're a scholar and a gentlemen. I see you use google and not use the built in search, never find exactly what I'm looking for! Maybe I should give google a try.
Hey DJ, It's me the guy who accidentally emailed you! lol. You'll get back in no doubt! Looks like what I wanted to happen isn't going to. But none the less, still waiting to hear back from them myself. May be waiting a while for a call zzz.
It's typically the same time as the rest. We're basically at the end of the fiscal year, and the new fiscal year starts in April. So odds are it won't be until Jan 25th or so, maybe later.
I'm not a reservist, but I did find some things for you to look at that would help you with what you're looking for perhaps. The links provided are google searches for the entire Army.ca website. That being said, typically Reserve training is done on the weekends, however depending on the unit...
So you still have your medical and interview left no? I always thought when your file is closed you basically have to re apply. CFAT and personality test they wouldnt make you do again. But still its going to be a while and I highly suggest you dont put all your apples in one basket. Id get out...
If you dont mind me asking. What part of the application are you at? And why make it awkward? Not sure exactly how old you are. However that being said all you have to do is tell them you are not in yet. Dont have to go into any detail.
To be frank, I was in the Infantry before and got out. Mainly because I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do and everyone else was doing the same. And now look at me trying to get back in.
That being said, there's always going to be bad apples or people complaining it's human nature. You...
If you're out of the forces for longer than 5 years(from when basic is completed I believe), you have to re-do the training again(Good chances that you will, there are some exceptions that's not decided by the CFRC as far as I know). And it's been 7 years for me.
I wrote it when I was 16. over 10 years ago... And it was built this way as well. Don't leave anything unanswered as they're all point based. The test itself is just designed to see how your mind thinks and problem solves.
I'm not exactly sure. But I feel you can pretty much transfer it when ever. I know on average it takes about 2 weeks (at least for my case) to get to the destination (I went from Toronto to Hamilton, back to Toronto) and I just finished my medical before Christmas.
