My point was that BMQ did not change in decades as if we were training recruits ASAP to get their asses ready and deployable like we did in WWII.

We are still training like we're getting deployed overseas in a couple of weeks to fight the Germans. The whole training needs to change, as well as mentality.
Back in A-Stan, our Squadron Sergent Major did a misfire incident when unloading before entering the FOB. He never got charged for that incident and your post is 100% accurate.

The waiting time is getting ridiculous. Not only this; having applied to the PRes, I have to get all my shit together in advance (civilian career, kids, expenses to cover when away, ect). I would be pissed to have a 2 week delay from the time I get an offer to the time my BMQ starts.

I think you should call back to your local CFRC to get updates on your application; they might require some additionnal info or form to be filled out.
I call them every 2-3 weeks for updates on my part, and I strongly suggest to other applicants to do the same.
