Shin Splints, Blisters, and PT [Merged]

Hi all, just a quick question about shin splints. I don't feel any pain in my lower leg anymore when i walk around or run up stairs or anything, I do have a bump where the pain used to be though. Is this important? The people at The Running Room told me I should roll a water bottle on my shins...

    Past injury and the medical.

Hey all, I couldn't find the answer to my question in the search function so I'm posting it here. I broke my hand about 2 years ago and had to have some surgery done on it, I was given painkillers but never used them. I have no problems at all with my hand, don't feel pain in cold weather or...

I know we've been asking for more advertising of the Canadian Forces...

I've heard that commercial many times and I agree that it's terrible. If they advertise like that then they will have people joining for the wrong reasons, so they can get a free education.  :(  :cdn:

    Global Warming/Climate Change Super Thread

Also take into account the medical costs, air pollution costs Ontario alone over $1 billion a year in hospital visits, emergency room visits, medication, family physician visits and time off work usually for respiratory problems. Not to mention the estimated 1900 deaths per year in Ontario...

    US ARMY OR CANADIAN ARMY?

In my opinion, if you were born in Canada, then that is who you fight for. No other option if you ask me.  :cdn: :cdn: :cdn:  :salute:

Comparing the Regiments (PPCLI, RCR, and R22eR) and thier bases

I was asking a question to confirm what someone has told me. Or would it be better if I applied with all the wrong knowledge of what to expect?

    References Superthread [Merged]

Most of the teachers I had in high school aren't there anymore, and it is unlikely that the ones that are would remember me well enough to give an informed reference. I was recently in driving school, would my instructor there be an OK reference?

Comparing the Regiments (PPCLI, RCR, and R22eR) and thier bases

I hear when not training or deployed somewhere that you have to get a regular civilian job while living on base. Is this true? If so, that should also be taken into consideration when choosing where you want to be sent.  :cdn:

I had a friend that i've known for 10 years and owns his own business, and my ex-girlfriend's mom as 2 of my references. Do you think these are good choices? I am also going to get 2 of my ex-employers to do them to.

FINALLY!!! i can play the waiting game!!!

Question about that step test, how does that work? I know that you go up and down and up and down but I also heard you have to do it to a beat. If so do they change speeds? If there isn't any music, should I go as fast as I can? I will be able to pass it, I was just curios about these things. ...
