Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

Cool your jets there captain america. I said I called the BPSO once, never said I was spamming. And I said I've thought about grieving not I'm going to. If I did my grievance would focus on the lack of transparency irt delay time frames, especially since the BPSO system is already in place to...

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

Yeah I called my BPSO yesterday, they gave me the stock response as per usual. Just hoping that if more people call in it might ping them to do something about it (not likely). I've thought about griveing the process since every year that I've attempted this has been super messed up. But my...

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

I used to have the link to the PML report but none of the links to anything I used to have work anymore.

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

I interpret "Early May" to mean no later than May 15th. No they're technically not late but they sure don't seem to be in any hurry. I'm holding off contacting the BPSO until Friday, partly because I know there's very little they can do about it anyway. At least they finally pushed back the...

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

I really wish there was more communication irt this process. I get that there are delays and they might not know when the offers will come out. But it would be nice if they communicated somewhere that delays had occured and whether or not the selection boards for OTs have even sat yet.

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

Nothing here. I looked at previous years that my unit has recieved them and it was in April in 2013, and May 5th 2014 so I was hoping to have seen something by now. I have been annoying the hell out of people in my office by asking about it all the time. This is my 4th kick at the can so my...

    Timeline for AVOTP

Still nothing today. Called the BPSO, they said some of the messages have been delayed, they don't know why or for how long. Not sure when exactly they planned on telling anyone about it. So... yeah.

    Timeline for AVOTP

So it's 30 May tomorrow and I still have nothing in my hot little hands. So given the timeline outlined in the CANFORGEN 017/13 I'm going to say that it's been rejected.

    AVOTP 2013

Ugh! We got 3 offers at the regiment 2 weeks ago and nothing since. In my opinion we're moving into the late may time frame which has me expecting my rejection anytime now. Not a huge deal, I'll just stick with my current trade, I'm just REALLY sick of not knowing.

    AVOTP 2012

My regiment has yet to receive any messages. I guess by late April/Early may they really mean LATE April

What did you want to become ?

I didn't really have a specific aspiration. I always loved medieval times and Knights as I kid so I always wanted to be a Knight. But as far as an actual profession, that all depended on what I was watching/doing at the time. I wanted to be a lawyer at one point, never a doctor. A soldier was...

    CANFORGEN on Pay and PIL

If NCR is treating this in any way like our regimental orderly room, they're taking their time with it to ensure everything is in order so they don't get sent back. Our PIL folders are complied by the Sqn Clks, forwarded to a MCpl and Sgt who both vet them before having them photocopied and...

    Who uses the C8?

From what I've seen they're primarily used by trades wherein the usual length of the C7 is a hindrance Ex// Tankers whose positions in the vehicle are pretty cramped.

Tattoo Thread - including current policy [MERGED]

People in my unit have received extras for getting new tattoos like that. Naturally there are others who have tats in those places but they had them on enrollment so that's ok.
