University of Waterloo Students Enrolled in ROTP

I got an answer through my MCC from the guy that manages the ROTP program in Ontario and there are essentially 3 options which co-op students can take while on coop since being paid by both the DND and the co-op company is not allowed: [list type=decimal] Request to be put on leave without pay...

University of Waterloo Students Enrolled in ROTP

Guys I got a call today from my captain with an offer for Signals officer so clearly that document you quoted above gcclarke no longer applies. With regards to the co-op pay, they said that is def. not true about giving my pay away to a fund, but they will do an investigation and get back to me...

Wow, gc I didn't even know that until now. My 3 choices were Signals, EME and CELE, so obviously I won't get selected for Signals. Thanks for the answers guys.

Following Acceptance to ROTP Civi u

The reason I am asking is that I am in the coop program at the University of Waterloo and I will most likely be working for a company in California during my next coop term (May - August). I just need to know if I'm gonna have to fly back to Toronto during my work term.

    ROTP 2010-2011

I was also told to be found suitable for civy u but not for RMC since i'm in 2nd year already at civy u. I also saw a little flow chart somewhere in one of the cubicles at the recruiting centre and i believe all the applications are being sent for a sort of pre-screening process, followed by the...

    ROTP 2010-2011

When I did my medical two weeks ago the physician investigated my current medical condition while asking me numerous questions regarding my health. He told me that from his perspective everything is great (i have absolutely no illnesses) but my file will be sent to Ottawa as they have the...

    Application dates

You're not allowed to discuss specifics about the aptitude test after doing it, but i will tell you the following (from my own experience two months ago): [list type=decimal] The test is MUCH more difficult than the practice test Time is of the essence, so make sure you manage your time well...

    Application dates

Your application was not late just make sure you finish your interview and medical before the deadline. Also, your marks should be fine and since you've got volunteering and extracurricular activities you are that much more competitive. I've read on these forums of a guy with a 70% average being...

    ROTP 2010-2011

Nope. I have a question about the funding for civvy u. Let's assume i get accepted on the early selection board, either in December or January. By the time my funding begins (September 2010), i would have already completed another school term (January - April) in the meantime. My question is...

    ROTP 2010-2011

Thanks VBanks. After reading around a bit it i believe you are correct in that signals does not require your eyes to be V3. Yes i was told that you will get a call as well as something in the mail, however you will be called first. Also, from what i've read in the ROTP 2009-2010 thread...

    ROTP 2010-2011

I applied for (Combat) Engineer as first choice but it turns out i'm my eyes are a V4 and i need a V3. They still put me down as an Engineer but i have to double check their results with my eye doctor and fax in a form. Consequently, i'm still debating between my 2nd choice (CELE), 3rd choice...

    ROTP 2010-2011

You are right. They told me the same thing. Although it was approved by the CFRC, the guys in Ottawa have the ultimate say. If everything gets checked out by mid december then you can make it on the early selection board.

    ROTP 2010-2011

I just had my interview and medical this morning. I was told by the captain that interviewed me that i did very good in my interview and that he found me eligible for ROTP. My interview was about 1.5 hours long. Make sure you do what baldy said as well as know yourself (i know that sounds weird)...
