    20 meter Beep Test -Merged

The one you are using is "harder" as in has more runs per level. The CF express test only has 6 runs per level and doesn't add a run each level you go up.

    20 meter Beep Test -Merged

I'm not talking about meeting the standard, I'm talking about getting high score on it so you can be exempt ie. the 10.5... Why would anyone want to just aim for the 6.0, Just my opinion. An over all fitness level is a goal to reach as well, no doubts about it.

    20 meter Beep Test -Merged

If you want to train for the beep/bleep/shuttle run test all you have to do is run 25-30m while listening to the audio track. That way when you do the 20m its a breeze. Long distance running will help some, but its the stopping and starting that drain your energy as you have to accelerate at all...

What are you listening to/fav type of music

Haha, I remember that song from Twisted Sister! Never knew it was a cover. Oldies are awesome, but I still enjoy they heavy stuff a lot more: HSB - Endzeit. Or something like this is always great: Insomnium - In the Grooves of Death.  8)

How to get family on board

Do what you want, not what others want. I got the whole run down of "He's suicidal/wants to die/going to die/throwing his life away" and so on. There are endless possibilities through the military and from what I have seen here, it is a great life style/job. Go read some peoples stories on...

    Winter BMQ

Fully agreed! I have a question though (May prove to be completely retarded but), I am guessing the roads are plowed (obviously) and we run on the roads (assume from when I worked in CFB Shilo), will they ever make us run through the deep(er) snow? Haha

    Winter BMQ

Where I live it is -20C or colder all through winter (Which can be from late October to March, even April ends up in the minus some times). I have ran/jogged/walked in the cold and colder then -20C. If you breath right you wont burn your lungs out - though I have done that, always nice to have...

    Winter BMQ

No sir I have not! I was meaning on the lungs and body - running on ice/in snow is never fun or easy. Guess it would not be easy on the lungs/body if we have to run through snow haha, Oh well =)

    Winter BMQ

Running in the cold is easier (condensed air and body does not sweat as much) other then that, I can see doing everything in the cold/snow more of an inconvenience then "harder". I am on BMQ from Sept-Dec and doesn't bother me that I'll be out in cold. It wont be harder or easier IMO.

Speeding / Traffic tickets during application [Merged]

I think fines that deal with driving/vehicles depend on province (like in Ontario if you have a speeding ticket they look into that, where Manitoba they don't - personally dealt with this and is due to Ontario having speeding tickets as criminal or something along the lines). As long as you have...
