Contacted the national recruiting centre to inquire about the the status of my file and was told that CF would be beginning "pre-selection" for DEO pilots in anticipation of positions opening with the new budget. Anyone heard about "pre-selection" in the past?

Yeah, I've heard something about that, i.e. if you fail air crew with a license of some kind then you need to upgrade to the next license?  Do you know if that is actually the case?
