Kind of weird that the Régiment de la Chaudière soldiers and the character based on I assume Léo Major, are portrayed as speaking English when it was a francophone unit. They could have gotten some francophone actors. Not impressed.

On a recce course I assume you're only issued map and compass. But at the unit level we have some DAGRs now, though m&c is still the way to go because those will never fail you.

Ended up getting the 24 version of this pack at Canex. Very pleased with it so far. Has a lot of space and pockets to organize your stuff, and is pretty comfy to wear. Seems fairly durable and well built.
